If you ask Nibbles what makes a good cookie, she’d answer chocolate…and more chocolate! According to Plumpy’s little sister, there’s never enough chocolate. We kind of tend to agree.

What you need:
1 cup butter (soft)
½ cup white sugar
1 cup light brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 cups flour
2/3 cup cocoa powder
¾ tsp. baking soda
2 cups chocolate chips

Adult assistant

Cookie sheets

What you do:
1. Have your adult assistant preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Beat the butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla in one bowl.
3. In another bowl, beat the flour, cocoa, and baking soda.
4. Carefully add the flour mixture to the butter mixture.
5. Mix in the chocolate chips.
6. Drop teaspoonfuls of the batter onto ungreased cookie sheets.
7. Have your adult assistant put the cookie sheets into the oven for about 8-10 minutes (until the cookies are just set).
8. Remove and let the cookies cool. Store them in an airtight cookie jar when they’re cool.
