Dear Diary,
Today was the craziest day ever! It all started with me and getting ready to head over to the soup kitchen (I’m volunteering there every Sunday afternoon). I peeked out the window and noticed it was snowing. The weatherman said we were going to get snow, so I wasn’t too surprised. I put on all my winter clothes and told Mom I was going to head out. She wasn’t very happy to hear that. She said that the snow had really piled up, and that the sidewalks were going to be slippery. I assured her that I’d be careful. I just HAD to get to the soup kitchen! As soon as I opened our front door, I started to question my decision. The wind was SO cold…and the snow! The snow was whipping from every direction. It was intense! I walked down our driveway, and got as far as the end of the block when I realized: I really couldn’t see anything. There was so much snow falling that I could barely make out the other side of the road. It was totally unsafe (I couldn’t really tell if a car was coming – not that I think one could’ve, because there was so much snow on the road, but you never know).
I had to make a decision; to continue on or to turn back. I really, really wanted to help out…but I was also worried that if I went to the soup kitchen, I might get stuck there. After all, if the weather was that bad already…
Anyway, just as I was about to continue on, I felt a hoof on my shoulder – my mom. She told me that the lady who runs the soup kitchen had called our house and left a message saying that I shouldn’t come in. Things were really quiet and she could handle it. I hate to say it, but I was really, really happy to hear that! Mom and I went back home and she made me some hot chocolate. We sat by the fire and talked and watched the snow pile up. I’m really glad I’m at home – and I hope all my friends are safe too!
Love,
Cowabelle
I like how nice you are about donating time to the soup kitchen Cowbell!

So glad you are warm and safe! Hope everyone else is, too! What a great opportunity for Sparky to do some studying … (though I have a terrible time studying when it is snowing outside – I just want to sit and read something fun and watch it snow …)
I like how you still wanted to help!!!!!!1
Well in TX we don’t get to much snow! In fact, we’ve hadn’t had any snow all winter!!! Well we did have some snow fall but it didn’t stick to the ground. I really hope we get snow to play in before winters over!
I think it is nice of her that she is volunteering every Sunday at the soup kitchen! :D ~ Hello Kitty ROX! ^.^
Also I think it was good that she stayed at home.
Yeah!
At least she didn’t get LOST
The ‘kinz are so lucky!! We had a huge amount of snow last year, about 14 inches; it broke lots of records. But this year, it’s been so warm; it’s 46 right now, though. :I But the early morning weather will be the early morning weather!! :)
~catluv… luv the cats!!~
Same here catluv! he you are lucky.

Cowabelle, that’s so cool how you volunteer at the soup kitchen!

I volunteer about once a month at a place that serves dinner. I wish that I had snow. Normally at this time in the year I would have a lot of snow but this year it’s weird and there’s not any snow.

I like that Cowabelle’s volunteering at the soup kitchen each Sunday. I like this Cowabelle a lot more than the Christmas present Cowabelle. :) Webkinz World is so lucky it’s snowing! Oh how I wish it would snow were I live! I used to live in a place were it would snow a lot and I really miss it.
P.S. I’m really glad Cowabelle didn’t get lost.

Cowabelle: You did the right thing! I know that you wanted to help out with the soup kitchen, and your mom said that the lady from the kitchen called and said that it was not busy. It was great that it all worked out so nicely! I’m glad you didn’t have to go thwre in the cold. Because, hey, weather happens!
:D :D
*Luv from LillyLuvie*
I think you did the right thing too, Cowabelle. Oh, and SNUGGLES56100, I agree.

I volunteer too sparklegirlLT
About once a month too…. I volunteer next Sunday to help out at the nursery. The kids are adorable! I like babysitting, so it’s the perfect volunteer job for me.
Sparklegirl, that’s what’s happening where I live! There is usually a ton of snow here but there isn’t. It snowed a few weeks ago but that melted quickly.
Sounds awesome. I love to drink hot chocolate and watch Christmas movies when it snows. It may sounds odd that I watch Christmas movies when t isn’t Christmas, but I do it anyway. It hasn’t snowed where I live since the first day of December. After that, it only been sunny and it was 50 degrees outside and the snow melted away. I really want it to snow again. Today, its cloudy where I live. I hope it will snow again soon.

Yeah, I know what you mean, SOAD Chick. It hasn’t snowed where I live since December 7th. I wish it would snow again! I love to drink hot chocolate and watch out the window to see the snow fall to the ground. I would sometimes watch Christmas movies when it isn’t Christmas, or when Christmas already passed. I wish it would snow again though.

Yeah, the sweater is a bit weird. It’s probably just the picture though.

Wow, sounds like an interesting day, Cowabelle!
SparklegirlLT,
I know! Where I live, there’s usually tons of snow by now, but there’s not that much. The forecast says that it’s going to snow in a couple days though. Oh well, so much for a mild winter. ;) ~*Dawn*~
It seems like everyone is having a no-snow winter. :(
~(♪)sparklegirlLT(♪)
