Craft: Crayon Can

What you need:

Inexpensive box of 30 crayons, can (thoroughly washed and dried), ribbon, low temperature glue gun, adult assistant

What you do:

1.        Have your adult assistant operate the glue gun while you apply the crayons to the outside of the can.

2.       For a uniform look, make sure all of the crayons are facing the same way.

3.       Tie a ribbon around the middle of your container when all of the crayons are glued on.

4.       Use this container to store anything you like…perhaps some crayons!

Note: If you don’t want to glue on the crayons, you CAN just arrange them and tie them to the container. This is a two-person job, though – one person to hold the crayons in place and the other person to tightly tie the ribbon.

You could use sticker type velcro in 2 bands around the can and 2 small squares of it on each crayon or colored pencil to line up with the strips on the can. That way it would be easy to get them on and off of the can and organize them :D

If you want to be able to use the crayons, you can use rubber bands to hold them on and then cover the rubber bands with ribbon. I would use one near the top and one near the bottom!
