Hey, fans! It’s me, Elwin. So I decided to take on the task of making over the boys’ cabin. Which is a good thing – it was definitely in need of it!
Wow! I know boys will be boys, but dudes still need to chill and this room is anything but relaxing. It looks like a mishmash of leftover furniture was just tossed in here with no planning. There is no consistency in the bedding and the odd assortment of side tables and lamps is distracting. Pop art posters on the wall seem out of place in the rustic setting and the way the beds are set up leaves very little room for the boys to move about and play. I want to create a haven where the boys can come and hang out, rest, play together and still feel that they’re deep in the middle of the forest.
So? Whaddaya think? I decided to go with an unconventional choice and use hammocks instead of beds. I think they add a sense of fun and reinforce the fact that camp is all about the great outdoors. I can’t think of anything more serene than rocking gently in a hammock, being lulled to sleep by the sounds of the crickets in the woods and the wind whistling through the trees. I think the neutral tones with the touches of green fit right into the woodland setting and create a calming environment. By positioning the furniture around the outside of the room, I’ve left plenty of space for the boys to roughhouse and play. Instead of the mismatched trunks in the previous room, I used dressers and side tables with lots of drawers to give the boys plenty of storage. Finally, comfortable wicker chairs offer the perfect spot to curl up with a book or go head to head in a board game.
I think that this simple, rustic room is the perfect place to wake up to nature.
I like the first one better but there both cool :)
I think the room looks great! Why are the pictures so small though? You can barely see the details of each room.
where did you get the wallpaper and the floor.

Hey why is this so small? Please show rooms in a larger scale so we can see all the great items used!
I agree
I like the new room, it has more room to move around and looks more like a camp cabin. Nice job!!!
