Fall Garden Makeover with Hailey & Elwin

Hi there! It’s me, Elwin! Nibbles and Plumpy have a nice backyard, but it’s a little bland. So they gave Hailey and me a call to see if we could liven up their space. Fall is such a great time of year to be outside enjoying nature and if they really want to take advantage of their outdoor space, they need to make the most of it.

See what I mean? Pretty boring, right? I mean, there are some pretty trees and Hailey and I just love lots of trees in a yard so we wouldn’t touch those, but other than that – there’s nothing much here. Just a simple picket fence and an unadorned pathway that’s going nowhere – in more ways than one.

And here’s what we did with it. I love a water feature in an outdoor space and with its bounty of pine trees the Log Lodge Pool really captures the rustic feel we’re trying to achieve. We kept the trees exactly where they were, but the addition of this open air Treehouse Hut bed offers a fun escape for Nibbles on a brisk autumn day.

The Fall Fest Booth makes a neat station for offering up refreshments and we renovated the existing pathway to run right up to it. Now there’s no question that the Fall Fest Booth is THE destination for fall fun. Things were really looking up once we added the Fall Frenzy Trampoline to the yard. Up and down and up and down, that is. If the trampoline is occupied, why not hide in Play Pile of Leaves instead?

After an afternoon of bouncing and play, Nibbles can cool down with a tall glass of cider from the new Apple Cider Press. But what’s the point of such a fabulous backyard if you can’t relax and enjoy it? A rustic bench and a Hay Wagon Chair offer ample opportunities for lounging, awhile a few accessories like the Garden Candle Lantern, Blue Ribbon Veggies and Gourd Smorgasbord finish off this fine fall getaway.

Gosh, Hailey and Elwin do better inside, right? I have loved all their other rooms (of course, they were ALL indoors) but this… is uh interesting…

    Who agrees? :)
