Wow! What an honor! Elwin and I have been called upon to do some designs for the Webkinz World-renowned Henrietta Hippo Theatre. The Green Room is where performers wait before their cue to go onstage. The space needs to be a calm, relaxing place where actors, singers and musicians can put the final touches on their costumes and make-up and collect themselves before a big performance.
This is the Green Room now. With the dark walls and white floor it’s a got a bit too much contrast for my taste. And the Blooming Couch and Charm Forest Mirror are very busy. We want performers to be able to really relax and feel at home here.
Here is Elwin’s take on the room. He’s put those Chandeliers to good use again. The light green paint gives the space a much more relaxed feel. He replaced the small mirror with a Big City Window. How chic! He paired a couple of White Silk Sofas to create a relaxing seating area and made one corner for snacks, another corner for costume storage and he even put a sewing machine in for emergency alterations. A couple of plants add some much needed life to the space. I think that you could really concentrate on your upcoming performance in a room like this.
I agreed with Elwin that the room needed to calm down a bit so I chose the gentle coloring of the Green Striped Wallpaper. Like Elwin, I went with a wood flooring but I lightened mine up a little to go with the Green Leaf pieces that I used throughout the room. In addition, I also used the White Silk Sofa and by the fridge I added an eating area with the Fresh Glass Dining Table. I put in lots of costume storage with the Pop Diva closet and added a make-up prep area in the corner.
I think that both Elwin and I have come up with options that will be more relaxing and instill confidence in performers while they wait to go on. What do you think?
I like how Elwin put out all of those plants, but Hailey`s should win. I love the chrome fridge, the TV, the beverage area, and everything else. The TV area is a little crammed, but not too much. But i love the sewing machine, the big city window, and the pillow pile. the coffee station is also great, and it is not crammed up. The chandeliers look a bit ghostly, and the cabinets dont really have a variety of clothes, which is all in Elwin`s design. I am not sure. There are different things i like about each one.
Elwins room is more open and more relaxed and calming this time. A bit of yellow would of made it more, more relaxed and calming.
I like Elwin’s room much better than Hailey’s. It’s brighter and has a nicer flow to the room, plus I like the new furniture ideas. I hope they offer some of these pieces for sale at the W shop. :)
I have to admit I normally like Hailey’s better, ( no offense to Elwin) But this time it was defiently Elwin’s room I like better.
I vote for Elwin…again. I feel horrible because I have only voted for Hailey once. But I don’t even look to see who did which design. I look at the original room, then scroll down to the two new designs, and I make my judgments without reading anything first. It almost always ends up being Elwin’s room I like better. I still think Hailey does a good job, though.
Elwin’s is better. His room has a comforting feeling unlike Hailey’s. Also his is much more relaxed.
why does EVERY room have that brownish-nursery round chair
I have to go with Elwin this time around. It feels more like a green room, whereas, Hailey’s design makes it a living room with a huge wardrobe. Keep it up! <3

They did make this choice more difficult, didn’t they?! I usually vote for Hailey, but Elwin’s getting my vote this time. I don’t think actors trying to stay in a role would want the distraction of a TV. (Green Room is a historical term for the actors’ resting room; the rooms used to be always green, but not these days.)
