Lucky Sparkle Play Dough

Get ready to make some gorgeous (and glittery) play dough!

What you need:

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup salt
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 tablespoons cream of tartar
1 cup water
Food coloring
Glitter
Pot
Stove
Wooden spoon
Adult Assistant

What you do:

1. Mix the flour, salt, and cream of tartar in the pot with the spoon.

2. Add the oil and water and mix with the heat on low (have your adult assistant help with this).

3. Stir until the dough gets thicker and eventually forms a ball.

4. Turn off the heat on the oven, and ask your adult assistant to remove the ball from the pot. The ball of dough will be hot, so you might want to leave it to cool a bit before kneading it.

5. Knead the ball of dough. You can divide it up and add different food colors to each part, or you can make the whole thing one color.

6. When the dough is the color you like, add glitter! Knead the glitter into the dough.

7. Now you’re ready to make some gorgeous (and glittery) sculptures!
