The day has come. My family is here.
All twenty-three of them. My aunt and her new baby are coming in a few days (they’re smart. If it was me, I’d show up on Christmas Eve and leave on Boxing Day). Then it will be twenty-five. Twenty-five relatives. In my house. Non-stop.
As I suspected, Robby and Bobby (my twin cousins who are total pains) arrived with plans to make my life miserable. They hadn’t been there for more than ten minutes when they started sticking paper moustaches all over every single picture of me in the house.
My little cousin threw up all over my mom’s rug. My aunt said he was still a bit carsick.
My grandpa ate the chocolate bar I’d been saving.
My grandma told me I’m slouching.
My great-aunt pinched my cheek so hard it still hurts.
Millie seems to be holding up better than I am. A lot of our relatives brought her little gifts. Did they bring me anything? No, because I’m the oldest. I have to be mature and set the example for everyone else. Sometimes I think it would be amazing to be the youngest in a family.
I’d say more, but my mom is yelling for me to come and help take care of the little kids. I can’t wait until Boxing Day.
Poor Molly! You should complain to your mom about this! That is crazy! Before anyone does ANYTHING else make them ask first!
I think I would just sit down and cry! Hang in there!
Wow Molly. Stay strong! Talk to your mom about this. And, take all your valuable items and store them away where you know they won’t find them! ;) I have about (counting…) 15 cousins…Most of them are younger than 8. But they’re angels! They don’t touch my stuff, or do anything bad (that they don’t mean too). I love my cousins <3
^-^Cinderpelt^-^
I HATE MY COUSINS! When I drew a picture, one of them poked holes in it and they are so greedy! They snatch my toys away!
Oh you poor thing Molly, it can be hard being the eldest. Maybe you could try and to a craft with your cousins, maybe drawing christmas decorations to stick around the house, or maybe ask your mum for some candy and do a treasure hunt. Try to keep them occupied and busy, it can be hard work, but you may find it fun. Or you coould even ask if they have an activity they would like to do. Worth a try…… Happy Holidays
Boxing Day is the day after Christmas. It is usually celebrated in Canada
My teacher says it is in England cause her family members celebrate it.

No family is perfect, ever. However this is plain rude and awful. Molly’s family should think twice. BTW what’s Boxing Day????

Boxing Day is the day right after Christmas. It is called this because this is when people put away the boxes and what not, and return items that they don’t like to stores to exchange for something else. I am pretty sure it is mostly held in Canada. I am in Canada :!: :D :) :D

I understand. I’ve had to put up with little cousins before.
That makes 2 of us.
~catluv………. luv the cats!~
Bobby and Robby sound like my little brother in a nutshell. Even Boston ROCKs gets the better treatment, being the youngest girl. She used to by a really annoying sister, but she’s calmed down. (Thank you Northwestern!) Honestly, I’m glad our little cousins are staying at our Grandmother’s house. Having your Grandmother in the same city is a miracle
Hang in there, Molly!
Ahhhhhhhhhh….. So sorry, Molly! You’ll get through it! :(
Awww
Aww, poor Molly! :( Hang in there, girl, you’ll be alright! :) ~*Dawn*~
It’s okay. Sometimes I wish I could be the youngest so I could get a word in. Sometimes younger siblings get attention because elderly folk don’t know you sort of need attention. Think of it this way, you are in charge of the little ones, so that means you have a big responsibility! That means that the other older people trust you and think you are mature enough to take care of the little ones! It is annoying that your little sister got a present and you didn’t. I’m with you on that.
I’m the oldest too! Sometimes it’s annoying, but I’ve learned the oldest almost ALWAYS gets to do things first. Like, you were the first one to have your first Christmas.
