What you need:
- Several smooth, clean rocks (about the size of a computer mouse)
- Acrylic paint in a variety of colors
- Paint brush
- Water
What you do:
1. Choose a base color and cover your rock with paint.
2. Allow the first coat to dry and with a small paintbrush paint a decorative pattern on your rock.
3. You can paint flowers, or turn your rock into a large bug, or just create a random pattern of swirls. You can individualize the rocks for each of your friends.
4. Sign your name on the bottom.
5. When they’re dry, give your friends these handcrafted keepsakes to use as a paperweight, or doorstop, or just a lovely reminder of how solid your friendship is.

Hey, Moonstar’s BFF here!!! I know I am not Moonstar but she can get mad if you use something really close to her name. I suggest using Moon Beam 1000 or 1000Moonbeam. Maybe Moonshine0000? -Straystar♦♦♦
One thing that’s a possibly important option: use a clear coat of spray paint after you’re done painting the rock. Otherwise, if you keep the rocks outside, the acrylic will wear away faster that if it’s protected with a clear enamel. I’ve painted celtic knotwork on my rocks. Good luck!
