Picnic Recipe 2: Veggies & Dip

 

 

 

 

 

What you need:

-          Carrots, peeled and cut into two or three inch sticks

-          Cucumber, sliced

-          Broccoli, cut into florets

-          Celery, cut into two or three inch sticks

-          Red or green pepper, cut into strips

-          1-500ml container of Sour cream

-          1 packet dried onion soup mix

 

What you do:

1.       Pour the packet of soup mix into the container of sour cream and mix well.

2.       To serve, place your sour cream container in the middle of a platter and arrange the vegetables around it.

3.       A fresh, crunchy snack with a savory zing.

    Sounds Good…the onion soup and sour cream is also used as a chip dip n makes a great French onion dip!

    Not to disagree with ganz but if you don’t have sour cream or soup mix but have all the veggies you can use Ranch dressing!! once i went vegetarian for like a week and celery and hummus was good too!! and green peppers and ranch!

        The only thing I would probably like though is ranch ( I love Hidden Valley! ) with baby carrots! Have you ever tried carrot chips? They arn’t really chips, just fresh carrots that are made to look like chips! LOL!! -Moonstar*

            Carrot chips? Interesting. Never heard of that. How about Turnip Chips? I’ve had Prawn Chips (not kidding), but I like Potato Chips.

            Since I am not the biggest veggie person, maybe I’ll put some apples or blackberries. I love Hidden Valley’s freshness, it is so good! What are Prawn Chips? I’ve never heard of Turnip Chips. Thanks Anberlin.

        Yeah, I like Hidden Valley, too! I also like carrots, and potatoes. I do love a good potatoe! Not too keen on most veggies, though. But still, it’s a good idea!
