PJ Collie: Eating Healthy

 

 

 

 

 

 

I love being healthy because it makes me feel great!  It’s not always easy to be healthy (especially when you’re sitting in class for most of the day), but I do my best. Sometimes my friends look at my lunch and say, “PJ, what ARE you eating?” but I don’t care – it tastes GREAT! In fact, my BFF Ella has started eating better recently – she says I inspired her!

Know what my favorite thing is for lunch? Salad. I LOVE salad. And why? Because – it comes in SO many different forms. Sometimes I have a nice garden salad, with lettuce, carrots and tomatoes. Sometimes I have tomato slices, slices of buffalo mozzarella, and spinach. I also love making a salad and serving it in a hollowed-out green or yellow pepper – YUM!

After I’m done my lunch, I always go for a 20 –minute walk. I think it helps me digest my food better. I usually take along my friends – or my camera! I often snap pictures of things I see on my walk.

After school, I play basketball (on Tuesdays) and volley-ball (on Thursdays). I also LOVE to go for a swim when I get a chance. I took yoga last year and it was so awesome – very relaxing. I might just do that again this year!

    i cant do what pj does for two reasons.
    1.My mom doesn’t like to pack me lunch so i have to eat school food
    2.Normally after lunch we go back to class cause we have recess before lunch.but you never know
    3.my school, doesn’t do after school activities or clubs to do

    I, personally, think that all this is a bit much. Let’s put it this way, you can be healthy and active but still enjoy a treat now and again. If kids eat salad for lunch, play sports after school, and go for a walk after lunch, they are all going to end up being obsessed with being skinny and exersizing exsesivly.

      Agreed. I think that eating foods that taste good to you (that aren’t candy) and doing sports& stuff you love to do tat are exercising (dancing, jump rope) is all you need. Oh, yes, and add some candy once in a while!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let’s hear it for CANDY!! (a little off topic, here)

    i love salad! my fav. is lettace with different nuts, cooked ham , cheese chunks olives, apples and italian dressing! mmmmmm soooo delicous!

    I hate salad with stuff in it. )= Lettuce is fine but other then that….uck.
    Fruit Salad(without salad and the dressing is delicious!
    I usually go on a mile run before breakfast. =)

    omg! i love this thing! i ate outback last night! i had a salad with my mom! with ribs and chicken and steak! and the YOGA AND THE WALK amazing! i am always picking up after my brother (lil’ bro) so yah bye looks great!
