Roberta’s baby names

So my mom and dad are really excited about the new baby I heard them talking about what they would name a baby girl. So I thought I’d help them out by suggesting some names. I mean, they have enough to worry about, right? I thought this could be my thing.

I decided to start with girl names and I came up with some awesome ones! I found this book at the library with a huge list of names and their meanings.

Here is what I narrowed it down to:

Ranulfa apparently means wolf. I know it may not be your typical rabbit name, but hey – I bet my baby sister is going to be powerful and brave.

Rashida means righteous. How perfect is that for my little sis?

Rubella. Okay, this wasn’t actually in the book. I just like it. My mom says that’s a word for measles, not a name, but I think it’s got something, don’t you?

Raghnild means one who is fierce in battle. (Okay, I might have a new fav here).

Rathnait means wealthy or charming and who wouldn’t want that?

Rhodanthe means Rose. How pretty is that?

Rochette means ‘from the little rock.’ Um, we can make that work, right? I like it – Roberta and Rochette.

So I showed my list to my mom and dad and can you say ‘closed-minded’? They said that some of the names were ‘interesting’ which is parent-speak for ‘I don’t think so’. And they said absolutely positively no way to Rubella. But just think how unique that would be! Anyway, they said that they had really been considering some more traditional names but that they would take my list in consideration.

Hmph. I still like Raghnild. That is an awesome name!

How about Bunny? Bunny Rabbit, lol. Or maybe Bertie, after the nickname Roberta’s dad used to have for her, and he could call the new baby Bertie-Boo!

Roberta your names are not exactly fit for a baby girl. Sure they are cool and awesome but how do you know your baby sister is going to be a fierce, brave, warrior rabbit. Maybe she will be shy, gentle, and caring. And remember that your parents might want to name the baby themselves so don’t be upset if they do. And the name does NOT at all have to start with an “r” just because your name and rabbit does. So try and think of names are attractive( meaning they sound nice and have good meanings), your parents like(they are the ones who will take care of, feed, clothe, house, protect, and give birth to-well actually that’s your mom- your baby sister.) and any little girl would appreciate like Ruby, Dawn, Beth, Annelise, Megan, Gabriella, Daisy, Rosalind, names like that. Hope my advice helps! :)

I really don’t like the names at all, how about a good name like Rose or Rachael?

hey Roberta why are you sticking with just the letter R.. okay so you are a Rabbit… and that means only the letter R is available to you? try some other letters and see what happens and Rubella.. really??? NO WAY!. look up some other meanings in other languages too! me a little more braod in your approach here! then try them on your parents.
