The ‘Kinz return home

It’s me, Cowabelle. I am so lucky to have a friend like Dacey. We all had so much fun. I just can’t believe that it’s time to go home.

Yesterday Dacey took us for pedicures at the spa (well, not Alex and Sparky.) The spa was so fancy! It was filled with marble everything! We all decided to go for blue nail polish. We felt so grown up getting our nails done!

I just loved the food at the resort. There’s an Italian restaurant, a Mexican restaurant, a fancy steakhouse, an American diner and a restaurant with foods from the island. My favorite was the spaghetti at the Italian restaurant, but Roberta likes the food at the Mexican restaurant. She had this tortilla and lime soup that sounds kind of crazy but is really tasty. There’s also this really neat coffee shop called Spike’s where they make these amazing desserts. But everybody’s favorite place is the huge buffet right in the middle of the resort called Tortuguero. We had breakfast there every day. You can get just about any kind of food you want there. They make these crepes that are YUMMY!

Last night after dinner we were sitting outside by the restaurants and there were little stands set up where you could buy trinkets and stuff. Alex and Sparky each bought these little carved wooden frogs, but Roberta and Molly and I got these cool hats. This dude took a palm frond and with a giant machete, he trimmed it down to fit around our heads and then wove the fronds into these cool hats. We sat on the ground in front of him, watching him work. It was the neatest thing ever!

Now it’s time to go back. Oh, well. I am going to have wonderful memories of this weekend forever. I was talking to my mother last night and she said it has been snowing in Kinzville all weekend. I wish I could take the sun with me. I better finish packing. The tram is going to come for my luggage soon.

Isn’t Dacey a great friend?
