Roberta’s costume
Hey, gang – it’s me, Roberta!!! I just wanted to thank all of you so much for helping me choose my Halloween costume and voting in the poll last weekend! I counted up all of the votes and guess which costume you chose for me? I’m a Mermaid! Cool, huh? I had so much fun at the Halloween Parade today. I guess I have all of you to thank for that too! You all did such a good job on that petition for Ms. Cowoline. I can’t wait to go out trick or treating with my friends tonight. I just hope it’s not too cold outside – this Mermaid costume is kind of chilly. Maybe I should bring my jacket. Thanks again! I hope you all have fun tonight!
Halloween Parade!
Halloween Parade! By Ella McWoof I stopped by Kinzville Academy today to check out the annual Halloween Parade through the school. I remember back when I was at the old Academy, I just loved Halloween. We would start with the youngest classes and then make our way through the school, going into each class and collecting the students to add to our parade. By the time we got back to the front hall, the whole school was part of the parade. It was awesome seeing some of the younger kids dressed up in their costumes – they’d get so excited. So I was really looking forward to checking out some of the costumes this year and they did not disappoint! Ms. Cowoline even let them decorate the school. They did such a good job it’s scary! Cowabelle looks regal in this chic Pharoah costume. And Sparky could be the ‘After’ picture to Cowabelle – he’s all wrapped up in being a Mummy. Ewww! Stoogles is a creepy Zombie! That green, rotting face paint is freaking me out! … Read more

Using a knife (or having your adult assistant do this step), cut the dough into strips about 2 cm wide. 3. Wrap your hot dogs with the dough. Overlap the dough and make it look like bandages. 4. Put the hot dogs onto a cookie sheet and bake in the oven at 350 degrees until the dough is golden (about 15 minutes). Serve these ‘mummies’ with ketchup!

Cut tortillas into 1” strips. Warm the strips in the oven for a few minutes to soften them. Wrap one strip around each wiener. Have your adult assistant heat the toes in the microwave for about a minute, then add ketchup to the wedge you cut to create a toenail. These treats taste as good as they look disgusting!

Combine water and icing sugar in a bowl until it is slightly runny. Take rice crisp balls, poke onto a skewer and dip into icing. Sit skewer upside down in a glass until icing is hardened. Repeat twice until balls are covered in icing. With a paintbrush, paint a green circle onto eyeball with green food coloring. Press a chocolate chip into the center of the circle to make your eyeball’s pupil. Paint on veins with red food coloring. These creepy eyeballs may look scary but they taste oh so sweet!

Crafty Critterz: Webkinz Game
Submitted by: mcf with Coco It is a race to see who finishes first on the Webkinz path with obstacles and Webkinz chance cards along the way! What you need: Images of the animals from Webkinz News White sticker labels Markers Bristol board Scissors Webkinz Figurines Single Dice What you do: 1. Use the images of the animals from Webkinz Newz to create Webkinz stickers. We had precut stickers so they are fairly large which resulted in a fairly large game board but you could use smaller ones to create your path. You could even cut and paste the pictures onto the game board instead of stickers. 2. For fun, you can lay out the Webkinz in order of release date along the path so everyone could see the first plush Webkinz to the last. 3. Draw on the staircases with marker. This is really the best part of the game! You must go up or down the staircase if you land on tile at the start or finish of the staircase. 4. The Webkinz cards also add lots of fun to the game, especially when played on Webkinz Day, why some … Read more
