Where, Oh, Where Can She Be?
Salley Cat here. So far this has been the freakiest Halloween ever and we haven’t got to the 31st yet! Alex finally believed us that the ghost on the shipwreck is real, but then he wanted to go back again and help the Ghost Pirate! We all said that he was crazy, but he said that if the story was true then we could help reunite him with his lost love and he wouldn’t haunt the shipwreck any more. Alex, Sparky, Stoogles and I went back to the shipwreck yesterday. It was so creepy. As soon as we got close to it we could hear the sobs of the Ghost Pirate. Alex climbed right up onto the deck and the whole ship started to shake and shudder. Alex called out that he was here to help. After another loud sob, the Ghost Pirate cried out, “I cannot be helped! I am trapped on this ship for eternity!” Alex said that surely something would be able to free the Pirate. He responded that the only thing that could help him is love, but that his love is lost forever. Then Alex asked him how he lost his love and the Ghost … Read more

Alex’s Trick
Okay, this was supposed to be a really funny day but it didn’t exactly turn out the way I had planned. Because I knew that ghosts are not real and there was no way that old shipwreck by the shore could possibly be haunted. So I decided to set up this fake ghost to scare my friends. I told them that I had an idea to draw out the ghost and that they should meet me at the ship. I hid on the ship’s deck under a sheet with a couple of eyes cut out. When I heard my friends getting closer, I stood up with the sheet over me and in a low voice I called out “Spaaarkyyyy!” At first they all screamed then I think they immediately realized it was just a trick and they started to laugh. But then, all of a sudden they stopped laughing and just stood, speechless, staring at me. Everyone’s mouth was hanging open and from behind me I heard a very deep voice rasp out “My love, is that you?” just as I saw two white, wispy arms encircle me from behind. As the arms closed in on me I felt a … Read more
Webkinz Costume: Superhero
What you need: felt, puffy paint, scissors, yarn, darning needle, ribbon, needle and thread What you do: 1. Cut your felt in half. Cut out an isosceles triangle from one half, and then chop off the top point of the triangle. This is the cape. 2. Sew a piece of ribbon along the top of the cape. This will attach the cape to your pet’s neck. 3. Fold a smaller piece of felt in half and cut out a leaf shape. Cut out a smaller leaf shape in the middle. Open it up and this is your face mask! 4. Using the yarn and darning needle, add a piece of yarn to either side of the mask. 5. Tie the mask across your pet’s eyes. 6. If you like, take the cape and mask off and decorate them with puffy paint. When the paint is dry, get your caped crusader ready for a day of fun!
Strange (but delicious) Boiled Wyvernacle!
Chef Gazpacho here with one of Webkinz World’s most sought-after recipes: Boiled Wyvernacle! To make this delicious (and mysterious) dish, you’ll need a stove from the W Shop, along with these ingredients: Something you would only get once a year Something on a stick One other ingredient Good luck; this is one of my all-time favorite dishes. It’s truly perfect for Halloween!
Salley’s Pieced-Together Costume
Hi all, it’s Salley here! Even though lots of ‘Kinz buy their costumes and look totally awesome, I like letting my imagination fly and finding pieces around the house to make my own great outfits! This year I have two options, and I’m not sure which one I want to try yet! Turns out my mom has a cool cowboy shirt (it’s a little big but still works) and a cowboy hat PLUS cowboy boots that are nearly my size! Turns out she was once into line dancing! Who knew? Anyway, combine it with my own jeans and an old toy sheriff’s belt, and you’ve got a pretty perfect cowgirl outfit! But then I was thinking, I have a tuxedo from a play I once did, so why not wear that and be a mysterious magician? I’ve always loved magic! (Even if the sleeves are a little tight!) But now I don’t know which one to choose! I guess I’ll have to decide on Halloween morning…what do you think I should be this year?
Webkinz Costume: Flower
What you need: Cardstock, craft glue, scissors, markers, jewels What you do: 1. Cut out a flower-shape from the cardstock. The flower should be fairly large – it has to fit around your pet’s face. 2. Cut out a circle in the center of the flower. The circle should be just a little bigger than your pet’s face. 3. Decorate the flower with all sorts of pretty colors and jewels. 4. When the glue is dry, put your flower on your pet and watch them blossom!
Ms. Stripes Class Party: Not So Fun
Wow! I just cannot believe how little Halloween spirit Ms. Stripes has! Today Alex and I made these really cool ghost decorations to hang up in the classroom and when Ms. Stripes saw them she said no way. What??? How can you have a Halloween party without scary decorations? What is her problem? She said that there are younger kids in the other classes who might be scared if they are passing our classroom and see these creepy ghosts hanging up. First of all, Halloween is all about being scared, and second, even little kids know it’s just pretend! Have you seen some of the spooky looking decorations around town? Every kid who walks to school through Kinzville must come across gravestones and ghosts hanging around people’s yards. They know it’s all in fun! Ms. Stripes is just determined that this party is going to be a big yawn. Even though she’s been pretty nice lately, I think that deep down she still thinks school should be no fun at all.
Webkinz Costume: Witch
What you need: Black felt, pointy paper cup, black construction paper, brown paper bag, black paint, black button, black thread, needle, scissors, black ribbon What you do: 1. Paint the paper bag black. This is going to be your witch’s dress. 2. When the bag is dry, cut a hole for your pet’s head out of the bottom of the bag. Cut two arm holes on the sides. Glue the black buttons in a line down the front of the bag. 3. Put the bag onto your pet and cinch the waist with the black ribbon. 4. Paint the pointy paper cup black. This is your witch’s hat. Cut a circle from the black construction paper and use it as the rim of the hat. 5. Cut your black felt piece in half. Glue a piece of ribbon to the top of it. When the glue is dry, tie it around your pet’s neck (this is your witch’s cape). 6. Your pet is ready for a spook-tacular Halloween!
A Fabulous Town Square!
Elwin here with another gorgeous fall makeover! This time, we redesigned the town square. Hailey and I decided to really make everything look festive. We added food stalls, fun things to do, and some fantastic fall decorations. Everyone in Kinzville thought it looked absolutely perfect, and I have to agree! What do you think, friends?
Roberta’s Halloween Conundrum
Roberta here with a tough decision on my mind: what should Reid be for Halloween? There are so many options – and I’d like to make him the costume. I was thinking of maybe making him into a little wizard, but that’s not cute enough. Then I thought of maybe making him into a superhero, but it seems a bit old for him right now. Now I’m thinking that perhaps the cutest, sweetest costume would be a pumpkin! What do you think? How adorable would Reid be, dressed as a little pumpkin? I think that might just be the best idea ever! Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
Halloween Webkinz Costume: Gift Box
What you need: Square box, wrapping paper, clear tape, bow, scissors What you do: 1. Cut the top and bottom out of the square box (have an adult help if you need it). 2. Wrap the sides of the box in wrapping paper. 3. Tape two strips of wrapping paper in front of and behind your pet on the top of the box (to make it appear that your pet is popping out of the box). 4. Alex’s Scientific Journal: The Shipwreck is NOT Haunted!
Alex Tiger here with a page out of my scientific journal! My friends totally believe that that shipwreck is haunted, which just can’t be true. I know it’s spooky to think that there are actually ghosts aboard, but that’s nothing a bit of evidence can’t solve. Here are my scientific reasons why the ship may seem haunted but actually ISN’T: Strong winds shaking the ship. That shuddering noise we all heard? Gusts of wind! Plus when it whistles through the boards it sounds like moaning. Cool breezes off the water. Some people say that when you feel a chill, that means you walked through a ghost, but I don’t think so. The ship is on a beach, and that means cool breezes make it to shore—even through a boat’s cabin door! We felt a sea breeze, NOT a ghost. See? There’s nothing to be afraid of. I’m going to present my findings to my friends (especially Sparky, he was so scared!) and then they’ll see there’s no way there’s such a thing as a ghost!
