Webkinz Costume: Cookie

Is your pet the sweetest thing you’ve ever seen? Maybe a cookie is the right kind of costume idea! What you need: brown Bristol board OR white Bristol board and light brown paint, dark brown or black felt, scissors, ribbon, fabric glue, snack-sized plate What you do: Using a plate as a template, trace two circles onto your Bristol board. If the board is white, paint it brown and let it dry. These are going to be cookies. Cut dark brown triangles out of your felt. They’re going to be chocolate chips on your ‘cookie’. Attach ribbon to the back side of one cookie. Let it dry. Attach it to the back side of the other cookie. Let it dry. Do the same again on the other side of the cookie (you want to space the ribbon enough so that it sits on your pet’s shoulders when you put the cookie costume on them). Dress your pet up for a night of fun!
Sparky’s Birthday Surprise
Whoa – so it was my party today and it was CRAZY! You will never believe what happened! It was all going really well. I got some great presents and my Uncle took us deep down into the mines, which was really spooky – perfect for a Halloween party! Then, my Uncle planned out this cool scavenger hunt. We teamed up to find unusual objects on the list. I was paired with Cowabelle and as we got close to the lake behind the Tournament Arena (we were looking for an oar) Nibbles and Roberta came running out of the trees, looking terrified. They said that there were strange noises coming from this old shipwreck on the shore. Just then Salley and Stoogles appeared and said they had heard something too. Polly and Alex and Laurabeard and Molly all arrived at the lake then so we decided that we would all check it out. After all, as Alex said, it couldn’t really be anything scary, right? I mean, that stuff is just in stories. Quietly we all crept through the woods toward the boat and just as we got to the tree line, the boat … Read more
The Spook-tacular KinzPost Office
Hailey here with our latest decorating challenge: to make the KinzPost Office look fabulous for Halloween! Now you’re probably wondering if that’s even possible. Post offices aren’t exactly the most exciting places. Until now! Elwin and I went all out for this seasonal update. We added some wonderful glowing green stone walls, some cool stone flooring, and some black and white countertops. We threw in a very spooky desk, and a lime green chair to complement it. My favorite thing of all? The candlestick, of course! What do you think of the KinzPost Office now, friends?
Webkinz Costume: Fried Egg

This egg costume is super easy – and totally cute! What you need: Two pieces of white foam, one piece of yellow felt, craft glue, tape, white yarn or ribbon, scissors What you do: 1. Stack the pieces of white foam on top of each other. Cut out an egg-white shape (like a wavy circle). Make sure the egg white will cover your pet’s tummy. 2. Fold the piece of yellow felt in half. From the yellow felt, cut out the egg yolk (you’ll have two because you folded the felt). 3. Glue a yolk to each egg white. 4. When the glue is dry, attach a piece of white yarn or ribbon on either side of the white foam. Use tape to do this. These are the shoulder straps. 5. Put this egg-citing costume onto your pet and they’re sure to look egg-cellent!
Tasty Spranklebeek!
Oh, my friends! I am so glad we are trying these tasty recipes together. Today’s food is called Spranklebeek and it is a little bit…different…than the others. It is definitely slimier and purpler. Intrigued? I thought you might be! Here are some hints to help you figure it out. First, you’ll need a sandwich maker from the W Shop. Next, you’ll need to get three ingredients. You can see through one, and the other two are a matter of personal preference (I love them; others feel strongly the other way). Good luck!
Webkinz Costume: Ballerina

What you need: 4 Coffee filters (the basket kind), pink thread, needle, pink watercolor markers, water spray bottle, paper towel, old white or pink sock, pink ribbon What you do: Color the coffee filters with the different colors of pink markers. Lay them on the paper towel and spray them with the water bottle. The colors will mix and blend. Let the coffee filters dry. When the filters are dry, stack them up and cut out the center of each. This is the tutu. Sew around the inside edge of the tutu in order to hold the skirt together. Take your old white sock and cut off the toe. Cut two holes in each side. Trim the bottom if you need to. This is your pet’s top. You can run a piece of ribbon around the top of it to make it extra-fancy. Wrap your pet’s feet in pink ribbon to make toe shoes. Your little dancer is ready for a night of trick-or-treating!

Purr-Cilla’s Invitation
Oh wow. It’s me, Sparky, and can you say ‘awkward’? Today Purr-Cilla came up to me and said that her invitation to my party must have got lost because she couldn’t find it anywhere. What was I supposed to say to that? I couldn’t invite Purr-Cilla. She really doesn’t get along with Salley and she and Nibbles had some weird thing over the summer about Nibbles’ pool. And even though it was all Nibbles’ fault that I got in trouble with Ms. Stripes the other day, she’s still my friend. I had to think fast so I told Purr-Cilla that I wanted to invite her but there just wasn’t space at the party and I said I was really sorry. Yikes, that was not a good plan because Purr-Cilla said that she heard that I was planning to have the party at my Uncle Arte’s Curio Shop and that there was plenty of room in there. I didn’t really know how to answer that so I just stood there feeling stupid. Then Purr-Cilla FREAKED! She said she didn’t even want to come to my party and that she only mentioned it because she felt sorry for me because I was … Read more
The Employment Office
Hailey and I have been SO busy trying to plan out the new looks for some of the stores around Kinzville. Today we’re going to be doing the Employment Office. Tabby asked us to make everything look super spooky and cool. Tabby LOVES Halloween, so we didn’t hold back! With a little bit of ingenuity and some really cool stuff from the various shops in Kinzville, this is what we came up with: Personally, I love it! I love the purples and oranges and how everything looks SO seasonally perfect. The couches are extremely comfy (which is good for Webkinz who are waiting to see Tabby), and the tea cart is a nice, elegant (and unexpected) touch. I absolutely LOVE Halloween!
