Molly: excited about the Big City, Cowabelle: NOT
Ugh. It’s me, Cowabelle. Roberta and I are planning the most awesome sleepover WITHOUT Molly. And do you know why? Did you hear that Polly invited Molly to go to the Big City with her for Spring Break? What is THAT all about? I mean, nothing against Molly – she is one of my best friends, you know? But why should SHE have all the fun? I would love to go to the Big City! I would be perfect in the Big City. I happen to be a very well-educated, cultured cow, you know. I mean, my mom is the principal of the school here. And as the daughter of a school principal I am very knowledgeable. I just know they are going to do all sorts of fun stuff and see all these cool things while I am stuck back here in Kinzville. Don’t get me wrong – I love Kinzville. But we’re talking about the Big City. Couture shopping, sophisticated entertainment, fancy restaurants. I think that was pretty unfair of Polly, don’t you? She could at least have let us draw straws or something.
Craft: Butterfly Wreath

Spring is in the air! It was so warm outside today – and the air smells so good. I can’t wait until the flowers start to blossom and the butterflies start flying! To get a bit of a jump on the season, here’s a beautiful butterfly wreath you can make for your front door! What you need: Pipe cleaners (10), tissue paper, rhinestones, paint, cardboard wreath-shape or wreath form What you do: Take a rectangle of tissue paper and wrap the pipe cleaner around the tissue paper, securing it by twisting the two ends together (making two antennae). Paint dots on the wings. Make a whole bunch of butterflies and glue them to a wreath form, or a round piece of cardboard with the middle cut out. Hang on your door!
Chef Gazpacho’s Fabulous Fruit Salad
It is I, Chef Gazpacho. As you know, I’ve been working hard on Plumpy’s engagement brunch. It’s going to be such a delicious event! One of the tastiest (and healthiest) recipes I’m going to be making is fruit salad. Here’s my recipe! What you need: (This recipe serves four) Large bowl, ½ cup each of: strawberries, grapes, raspberries, blueberries (all washed and patted dry), tangerine wedges, peach slices, cream cheese, ½ cup icing sugar, 1 cup whipped cream What you do: In the bowl, layer the fruits. In a separate bowl, mix the cream cheese, icing sugar and whipped cream. This makes a nice dressing for the fruit salad. Serve the fruit salad in fancy dishes and put a dollop of the dressing on top. Enjoy!

Congratulations to Camryn, Michelle, Leah, Hannah and Veronica! They’ve each been sent a Secret Code for an eStore exclusive Love Dino. We wanted to know how the Love Dino celebrated Valentine’s Day. Read the winning entries below. The Love Dino had a very magical Valentine’s day. She started the day by sleeping.”Wake up!” her little sister shouted in her ear, waking her up.”It is Valentine’s day, we have a lot planned!” “Is Mom up?” she asked. “No, but I was thinking we could make a cake, using that heart shaped pan.” So they spent the morning making a cake and listening to love songs on the radio. They tried to make the cake blue, but it looked purple/green, a really nasty color. They accidentally added almond extract instead of vanilla so the frosting tasted almond-ish.”It is a lovely new flavor,” their Mom said. After that they headed to the old-people’s home to give out hand-made valentines to the patients, and after they finished that they went out on a family walk. At the end of the day, when they finished watching a family movie and eating their Valentine’s day cake, her Mom gave her and her little sister a nice … Read more
Sparky’s A-Plus

You guys? You guys! I can’t believe it. Something outstanding happened today. I passed my math test. Me! Sparky Fact! And not only was it a pass, it was actually an A+! I absolutely, positively, one hundred percent CANNOT believe it. I had to look at the paper several times to make sure I had the right test in my hand (and that it wasn’t Alex’s or something). I can only attribute this to one thing: the lucky rock. It really, really works.

Sparky’s Good Luck

You guys will never, ever, ever believe what happened to me today. Two crazy things. Thing 1: Stoogles said felt awful that I had been having such bad luck and that he wanted to help. He gave me a stone that he said has been passed down for generations of Googles. He said it was incredibly lucky. Personally, I thought it pretty much looked like any other gray stone that you’d find on the ground. It really, really, really didn’t seem special at all. The other ‘Kinz said that Stoogles knew what he was talking about, and that even though it LOOKED completely plain, it wasn’t. And I really didn’t believe them at all. Until… Thing 2: I arrived home and found a BRAND NEW SKATEBOARD on my porch! I couldn’t believe it! I jumped up and down and screamed so loudly that my mom came outside to find out what was up. I thanked her over and over for the skateboard, but she said she didn’t get it for me. I asked if my dad or Uncle Arte did, and it turns out…they didn’t. So you know what … Read more
Paint Dot Spring Cards
So guess which rabbit got the pleasure of babysitting the, ahem, enthusiastic Millie Pig today? Me (Roberta)! Fortunately, Millie totally loves me – so she never gives me the same kind of trouble that she gives Molly. Millie just wanted to make crafts all afternoon, so it was fun for both of us. One of the best crafts? Q-tip blossom cards. Check them out! How did we do it? Easy! Here’s what you need: Acrylic paint in a variety of colors, Q-tips, cardstock folded like a card What we did: I poured the paint into shallow dishes. I showed Millie how to dip the Q-tip into the paint, and dab it onto the card. Continue dabbing to make a blossom. Don’t be afraid to layer colors! When your blossoms are done, let the paint dry. Draw on stems and maybe a vase. We made the cards for Mother’s Day (Millie likes to give cards to her grandmothers on that day as well, so she made three). It was a ton of fun!

Millie’s Birthday Party

Mom and I sat down together today and talked about Millie’s upcoming birthday party. Millie is SUPER excited and has a ton of ideas. She handed me a list yesterday. This is what it said: Millie’s Birthday Ideas 1. Join the circus 2. Visit the jungle 3. Go underwater 4. Princess ballerina 5. Do a treasure hunt 6. Be in a magic show Some of these ideas are, how shall I put it? Ridiculous! I tried explaining to Millie that we can’t go to the jungle for her birthday. We also can’t have a party underwater. She wasn’t too pleased to hear that, but Mom agreed. Mom said that she and I would talk about Millie’s list and figure out something that WOULD work. Millie stomped off and slammed the door to her room. After a long discussion, Mom and I decided that we’d do a princess treasure hunt birthday party. We’d have the guests dress up like princesses, and then tell them to hunt for their treasure (which would be hidden all over the house and yard). We’d do a fancy princess cake, and give out treat bags full … Read more
