Submitted by: ex5 by Sunny What you need: Cardboard box Construction Paper (Red, Blue, Yellow, Orange and Pink) Wrapping Ribbons Hot Glue Gun Pencil Scissors What you do: Cut out a big square out of the cardboard box. Have an adult assist with the cutting Glue the red construction paper all over the cardboard square. Cut two blue and two red construction papers in half. Take each half of the blue and red construction paper and roll each half into a post. Glue the ends together. You should have two blue and two red posts. When the posts are finished, take them and glue them onto the red cardboard. Take a small piece of yellow construction paper and glue it to the center of the red cardboard. Cut a long strip of orange construction paper and glue it across the yellow piece. Cut two small pieces of pink construction paper and glue it beside each other for pillows. Submitted by: Lor with Larry What you need: 1 Tin Can Construction Paper (Red, Yellow and Black) Glue Tape Rubber band Scissors Ruler What you do: Wash the tin can and remove the paper around it. Cut the red construction paper to 9 ½ inches wide and 4 ½ inches long to fit the can. Glue the red construction paper all around the can. Cut a strip of yellow construction paper ½ inch wide with a lump in the middle. Making sure it will fit all the way around the tin can. Glue the yellow strip on the tin can. Cut the black construction paper into a semi-circle. Glue the black semi-circle on the middle on the yellow strip. Cut a larger semi-circle in the black construction paper. Glue the larger semi-circle to the inside of the tin can. Make sure the round part is still out to make the “bill”. Tape it on the top of the inside part to make it more secure. Submitted by: jpe with Liono What you need: 2 lbs lean ground beef 1/2 medium onion, chopped 2 minced garlic cloves 1 tbs chopped parsley and cilantro 1 tsp paprika, cumin 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, salt and cayenne pepper Wood skewers Bowl What you do: 1. Combine the beef, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, & spices in a large bowl, refrigerate for 1 hour. 2. Dip hands in water; gently pack small amounts of the meat mixture around the skewers. 3. Crafty Critterz: Blue, Red & White PomPoms
Submitted by: Tra with Darkness What You Need: 3 coffee filters red and blue markers scissors water What you do: Color one coffee filter with red marker. Color another coffee filter with blue marker. Leave the third filter white. Fold each colored filter in an accordion style and dip tip in water. The filter will soak up water and spread the marker color all throughout the filter. Open up filters and let them dry completely. Once completely dry, fold each filter in an accordion style, using scissor cut along the folded edges, cutting the coffee filter in strips Grasp the filter with your fingers in the middle and wrap tape around to secure in place. Repeat above step for each of remaining two coffee filters. Tape all three mini pompoms together to make one large pompom. Do you have a great idea for a craft, recipe or party game? Paint the inside of the box with the blue paint and let it dry. Paint the outside of the box with the black paint and let it dry. Trace and cut out one maple leaf from white construction paper. Next glue steam of the 4 red maple leafs together. Glue white maple leaf to the center. Paint hot pink, light pink, and red lily pad flowers on the green box and let it dry. Put glitter glue in the middle of the lily pad flowers Cut a rectangle out of the paper and roll it up into a tube. Draw a rose on the paper, color it, and cut it out. Attach the rose to the tube with the glitter glue. Attach the rose on its stem to the box with the glue and decorate the rose with glitter glue.
