Crafty Critterz: Cheeky’s Tree Top Banana Bread

Submitted by: Izz with Cheeky             What you need: 1 ¾ cup all purpose flour 1 ¼ teaspoon baking powder ½ teaspoon baking soda 2/3 cup sugar ¾ teaspoon salt 1/3 cup shortening 2 eggs 2 tablespoons milk 1 cup mashed ripe banana What you do: 1.     Stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt in a bowl and set it aside. 2.     Beat sugar and shortening with a mixer. 3.     Add eggs one at a time and the milk until smooth. 4.     Add flour mixture and banana to creamed mixture. 5.     Put batter into lightly greased loaf pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes.   Do you have a great idea for a craft, recipe or party game? Crafty Critterz: Ferrets Favorite Cream Puffs

Submitted by: mad with Alfie               What you need: 1/2 cup Butter Powdered Sugar 1 cup all-purpose Flour 4 Eggs 1 cup of Water 1/8 tsp Salt Sauce Pan Wooden Spoon Filling: Pudding, Whipping Cream and/or Fresh Fruit. What you do: Have an adult assist with steps 1-3 and 6-7 1.     In a sauce pan combine butter, water, salt and bring to a boil. 2.     Add flour and stir fast.  Stir till it forms a firm ball. 3.     Remove from pan and cool for 10 minutes. 4.     Add eggs and beat with a wooden spoon until smooth. 5.     Drop tablespoon sized batter on a greased cookie sheet pan. 6.     Bake at 400 and cook for 30-35 minutes.  Let cool. 7.     Cut each in half and fill with any kind of filling (pudding, whipping cream or fresh fruit). 8.     Sprinkle powdered sugar on top.   Do you have a great idea for a craft, recipe or party game? Crafty Critterz: Character Themed Sugar Cookies

Submitted by: Nan with Gigi                   What you need: 2 cups butter, softened 2 cups white sugar 4 eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract 6 cups flour 2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 2 bowls Sprinkles Icing sugar Water What you do: In one large bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir flour, baking powder, and salt into sugar and egg mixture. Cover, and chill dought overnight. When ready to bake, preheat oven to 400 degress F. With rolling pin – roll out dough on floured surface 1/4 inch thick. Using your favorite character cookie cutters – cut as many cookies as you can.  Roll up scrap pieces of dough and place in refrigerator. Place cookies 1 inch apart on cookie sheets and bake 6 to 8 minutes. Repeat step 7 and 8 until you use all the dough. Once all cookies have cooled, completely mix icing sugar and water to make a paste.
