There’s an important update to how you do Peek-a-Newz!
Going forward, Webkinz Newz users who are trying to award prizes to different accounts will need to clear their internet browser’s cache in between each attempt to win their prize!
Please note:
To award Peek-A-Newz Prizes to multiple accounts, please log out of your GanzWorld account, clear your cache and complete the Peek-A-Newz as a NON-logged in user.
*Remember: All Webkinz Newz events are reset after 24 hours (and not at midnight) so you will have to wait a full 24 hours from your last prize redemtion until you can win again.
In order to clear your cache, just follow these simple, browser-specific directions.
On Google Chrome…
- Click on the Google Chrome Control Menu button in the top right corner of the screen.
- Select Tools > Clear Browsing Data
- A new tab will open; make sure ‘Empty the Cache’ and ‘Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data’ are selected in the check boxes.
- Click ‘Clear Browsing Data’ and you’re done!
On Mozilla Firefox
- Select Tools in the top menu.
- Select Clear Recent History.
- When the pop up window comes up, make sure that you select an appropriate time range to clear and that the Cookies and Cache boxes are checked.
- Click Clear Now and you’re done!
On Internet Explorer 9
- Click the Gear at the top right corner of the settings menu.
- Select Safety > Delete Browsing History.
- Make sure Temporary Internet Files is selected. Uncheck all of the other boxes.
- Click Delete and you’re done!
On Safari
- In the Safari Menu (top left) click Empty Cache.
This is too much of a bother. I like the old way better, it was easier and faster.
So thousands of members have to go through this futile exercise instead of webkinz making one fix. I’m getting very frustrated with them. I’m also sick of some of the pop-up ads – like real men of beverly hills. I don’t care about that show and just leave webkinz when it pops up.
For the first time everything worked like it’s suppose to, was very easy and fast for both my account and poppopbear32′s account. Still do like having to wait the 24 hours. I’m going to end up missing a day very soon. jennifer

It does kind of seem like they think too many people were having too much fun on the Newz, tho I really can’t see why this is a problem…..every minute we spend on here allows us to see more of their advertising. The whole point.
You are right about the peek not rolling over at midnight. I tried and got campaign expired so I waited for 24 hrs. to pass. Weird how things work now.
Tried clearing it and it still doesn’t work. Webkinz needs to fix this. It’s just too frustrating. Why bother playing when you can’t receive the prizes. I guess I won’t be playing until they fix this.
Guys, it’s an easy fix. Don’t log in to your GanzWorld account until after you do Peek-a-Newz. You’ll have to type in the log in to each individual account to get the prizes but it’s a lot less work. – >^..^< Catkin
Yes I agree. The old Newz was way better.
Just read the rules and no where does it say you have to wait 24hours between tries. Used to roll over at midnight but I tried to do and got campaign expired.
Waiting 24 hours after the last time I played is a bummer. Sometimes the time I can play is in the morning; sometimes in the evening. When things started over at midnight, it was simpler! I also miss seeing the prize awarded when I log into my accounts. Please put that back.
