And you said it, Mockingbird! I have a Webkinz hedgehog named Porky… but oh come on! I didn’t know it was a hedgehog. I thought it was a…yeah…porcupine…but of course three months later what do I see in hobby lobby? Yep, that’s it! A porcupine that’s grey. XD It is adorable!
Isn’t it called the “Puggle Puppy”? At least I really want the Basset Hound. I already have a hedgehog, but this new one looks completely different.
Update: I dug Cookie out of one of my gigantic containers of Webkinz, and she indeed is a Puggle Puppy, according to her tag, not a Puggle Pup. Just thought I would tell you, in case you didn’t know.
I guess I want the new Hedgehog, too, since it just looks so much different, and it looks so soft and puffy, and kinda cute. But I want the Basset hound since I don’t have the other version, and I’ve been wanting to get one to name after a dog in a show.
A bit off topic but I’m having a serious issue with the new polar plunge and I don’t know if anyone else is but when I cross the finish line on the hard slope, as soon as it switches to the game over screen I get a message saying “I’m sorry we can’t connect to webkinz world, please log back in later for more fun and games, you will now be logged out” and I don’t get the trophy. I check my dock when I log back in and no trophy. I didn’t have this problem with the easy and medium slopes but I’ve crossed the finish line on the hard slope twice and this is what keeps happening :(
I’ve been getting that message when I try to get to the Club House. Sigh.

I certainly will be since no one answered my comment and I’m really surprised they didn’t. I’m going to try to win on the hard slope again so I can get a screen capture of whats happening and send it to the support team and see what they think is going on.

OOOOOOMG!!!! I NEED THAT HEDGEHOG!!! :D Hedgehogs are one of my favorite animals!!!! Re-make of Agnes’ saying from despicable me: “IT’S SO PUFFY!!!” The basset hound is OK…. Not the best ever.
Not really interested in this months pets as I am not a fan of either of these two species. However I will say that I think this months pets are much better than the last. Least the Hedgehog is something different!
I wish they would call the new pets something else. It’s getting confusing having 2 ribbon unicorns, 2 beavers, 2 chipmunks, 2 chameleons and now 2 basset hounds and 2 hedgehogs.
Actually, the old chameleon is currently in the W-Shop pet section, and it claims to be a Kooky Chameleon, not just chameleon.
You’re right GoGanz24, I hadn’t noticed that. I don’t know why it’s called the Kooky Chameleon in the W Shop. I have that pet and on the tag it just says “Chameleon”.
Yep, you’re totally right! Confusing too. :P Next thing you know it, there will be a remake of…the Webkinz signatures. :P

OH MY GOSH I NEED THAT HEDGEHOG!!! (Er…sorry…I guess I got a bit over excited there…I’ll calm down in a minute or two…it’s just so cute!!! ^_^) Also, Webkinz Newz is finally working again, yay!! :D
Now I have calmed down XD So, here’s my official thoughts: Even though they already have a hedgehog, and they titled it the same thing (again), I still find it SO adorable! I already know what I would name it, too, so I think I might just have to get it! I don’t like the basset hound quite as much…they already have a lot of hounds, and this one looks a lot like the hound dog, but not as cute, in my opinion. So, in all, though I hope they’ll stop the remakes soon, I still like this month’s pet, because I can’t deny that that hedgehog is probably…one of the most adorable recently made Webkinz EVER. (Of course, this is just my opinion.)

Me too! I have the original hedgehog, and, though it is adorable, this one is just so cute and round and fluffy!! ^_^

They are both cute! My sisters have the og hedgehog and rainbow hedgehog, yet I don’t have one when it is one of my favorite animals… this poof ball of cuteness is perfect! I need a name though..
So glad I’m not the only one having problems with Webkinz Newz. I could not log in at all in the entire 24 hours of 7/30/2017. Very frustrating as I had no chance of winning the prizes. This is the first I’ve been able to log in today too. Although it is working, it is very slow. I have cleared my cache, my history, even my cookies and restarted my computer several times between yesterday and today. I also could not get into the Clubhouse in Webkinz World yesterday. It kept logging me out whenever I tried. No chance of finding Doug when you can’t even get in the Clubhouse. Glad things are getting fixed. I checked Webkinz Facebook page for info regarding updates or things not working, but there was nothing posted. I was pretty sure my issues were Webkinz related since everything else was working just fine. There was no way to confirm it as nothing was posted until sometime today.
Nope you’re not the only one! And actually, Webkinz did post stuff on Facebook about it. They said they were having server problems and were actually updating on what was going on with it. They said the stuff with the servers was causing Webkinz stuff and even the Newz to have problems. I’m not exactly sure what happened, but it’s fixed now, so no need to worry about it! (Thanks, Ganz! =])
Same here! Yeah, WKN wasn’t working for me yesterday, or this afternoon. I have the original hedgehog, BUT THIS ONE IS ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!
