Christmas may be over, but you can still celebrate the season with this cute craft from our archive!
What you need:
-
- Square of printer paper
- Scissors
- Glitter (optional)
What you do:
- Fold the paper in half so it forms a triangle (not a rectangle).
- Fold the triangle in half to make a smaller triangle.
- Fold the triangle again to make a smaller triangle.
- Use your scissors to cut shapes along the edge of the triangle – make sure to leave paper between the cutouts, though. Also, make sure not to cut right through the triangle (or it will fall apart).
- When you’ve got a nice design cut out, open up the triangle to see your snowflake!
- Decorate your snowflake with glitter glue if you want. Hang it up to celebrate winter!
Making snowflakes is a fun and easy way to decorate a room for the winter!
Do you have a great idea for a craft, recipe or party game? We’d love to hear them!
I’ve always had trouble making these but this really helps!!!
Please help. In treasure hunt I cannot find the Crafty Critterz submission page. I went through every one.
Go to Crafty Critters. Click on one of the articles, then down near the bottom of the page you will see “Do you have a great idea for a craft…..click on that link and that should find the next clue for you. Good luck.
They should offer more opportunities to contribute! I mean, most of these are “from our archive”.
People can contribute any time. Every post has a link to the submission page at the bottom.
I need to make some snowflakes–I’m going to “upcycle” some snack bags with the silver lining to make snowflakes for my winter tree. Thanks for the reminder!
I have SOMEWHERE about a dozen patterns that make some pretty intricate snowflakes. I need to find where I packed them away – I know I kept them because they were so fun.
I hope you can find and share your patterns with us. You can never have enough snow, I know cause I live in one of Lake Erie’s snow belts!
Brings back memories!
It sure does… and always fun to do with the kids and/or grandchildren.
Check out YouTube for some really fantastic snowflakes to make if you’re into more complex flakes. It’s amazing the designs people have come up with and the different ways to fold paper that make really stylish flakes.
