The Cats theme and the Dogs theme were the first two room themes ever created in Webkinz World. They were so basic, they didn’t even come with their own matching wallpaper or flooring, and they included less than a dozen items for each. There were both originally available in the WShop when Webkinz World launched in 2005, but it have since been retired and can now only be found at random times in the Curio Shop!
Put all the pieces of this theme together in one room and you’ll have an awesome rainy-day hangout!

I love to fill out a Dog Theme room with items for the Sky Blue theme to make a whole room. I also use the Street Post, Playground and Gym for outside rooms as a finishing touch. I also like to use items from the Curio Shop Vicountess Theme to finish out the Cat Theme or even the Pink Bow Theme.
My daughter did her Chihuahua room when she adopted him back in 2006(I think) and she has some of the cat theme in her clinic room.
The Chihuahua, named Chico room was with the Dog theme.
Been playing from the beginning. I have both complete sets and many extras! These are still among my favorites because I have so many puppies. You have come up with so many wonderful ideas over the years – thanks to all who work on these projects.
These themes are cute and yet kind of generic because you can use them with any flooring and wallpaper. This also makes them very versatile. I only wish that the lamps in both themes were bigger. I think this is true of many of the old ‘original’ themes from the early years of Webkinz.
It’s fun to see just how far they have come over the years with their designs. It’s almost like they ‘grew up’ along with the fan base. Now they are not shy to make stunning, more detailed designs and grandma’s like me are still with them even when the grandchildren they started with have gone on to other things! Good thing that we have younger grandchildren as well! I love spending my morning checking on upcoming events and new items coming as older items are retired. I LOVE the Podkinz and any other event where we get to interact with the NEWZ staff or any other of the GANZ members involved with the Community. It’s also nice to note that the original items that they created are still relevant and loved even today….that reminds me, I need some more Street Posts……
I totally agree nanamama12 . My kids were young teens when I started 16 years ago and are now grown adults, one has 3 children of his own. My kids lost interest when they went on to university and have not yet returned to it, but I have their accounts active and waiting for them! LOL …. we all come home to Webkinz right?!
Okay…I’ll try to post this comment AGAIN! Why do we get that silly comment that says we are posting comments ‘too fast’ and to ‘slow down’, then doesn’t show the comment for moderation? How fast I type should NOT matter! Anyway, as I commented before…I really like the dog theme. I have all the items except for the hydrant, which never seems to show up in the Curio Shop. I do love the bone coffee table and side table and use them in my Halloween rooms. Wish both these themes were in the WShop where we could buy them (with KinzCash) when we needed them. :-)
I saw the hydrant two different times in the last couple weeks (although one of the times it may have been for Deluxe). They’re really cheap — I think it was something like $58 so I bought two of them. If you want to add me as a friend, I can send one to you (just let me know here to look for the request and what Webkinz name it will be). My Webkinz name is the same as here.
Oh, gosh alucard, I never thought to couple the Bone items with Halloween items!!!! Silly me! Let me see if I have one of those Hydrants handy.
The Cat Windows and The Fishy Lamp are old favorites of mine and who wouldn’t love to have a Cat TV in real life – lol. Alphacat

These are two of my all-time favorite themes!
I love both these themes and I have everything from each. I like the basic look and I could use whatever floor or wallpaper I thought looked best. I liked the kid theme for the same reason. Thank you for everything you do for us!
