Curio Shop Theme Showcase: Egyptian Theme!

Arte’s Curio Shop has some amazing things, including many themes that are only stocked on his shelves! His stock changes every hour, so you’ll have to check back often to see what he has to offer! Items marked with the “Arte’s Favorites” logo are exclusive to the Curio Shop!

The Egyptian theme was one of our first rare room themes in Webkinz World. Unfortunately, it has been retired from the Curio Shop, so they only way to find it is by trading for it in our Clubhouse Trading Room!

However, you can still find the 3 newer items from the Egyptian theme in the Ganz eStore: the Egyptian Room Divider, The Golden Hippo Toybox, and the Kitti of the Nile!

Put all of the pieces of this theme together and you’ll have an ancient room that will make you pharaoh-ly proud!

Deluxe Members also have access to a second set of items updated hourly, so they have TWICE the chance of finding amazing items! Learn more about Deluxe Membership here.

Have YOU been collected any of the items from this ancient retired theme? Let us know in the comments below!

I was collecting – I am missing quite a few items I see!

Really need to bring this theme back, people don’t have it to trade in the trade rooms as you suggested, it’s too old. It’s such a wonderful theme too. Webkinz could feature places around the world, like this from Egytp, and there’s the Japanese theme, you could do some many countries!

Actually I do have a couple of the Egyptian items to trade in the trading rooms, but the room won’t let me trade them. Well at least not the Golden Hippo Fridge in the regular trading room. It tells me “this item is not tradeable. Please try another item.” Which is odd, because it will let me trade things from the Scientific theme, and that one has been retired for almost as long if not longer. No one seems to want the Scientific theme though, even though it’s pretty rare as far as I know and is one of my favorite themes.

Update: Turns out there was food in the Golden Hipppo Fridge. I took it out, and was able to trade it and… my trading partner didn’t want it! Hee! Even though what they were trading was nowhere near as valuable. Trading is definitely risky business. I haven’t made a successful trade in the last 10 times I’ve tried.

Wasn’t there a hippo poster? I have 2 of those hanging in my Egyptian room.

I would really like to have the bed, 2 more dining chairs and throne. I have multiples of several of the pieces so they must have been prizes but missing about half. I really like this theme.

The Obelisk must be the most rare item in Webkinz World? I never remember seeing it around. I’d love to have one. Also the column, throne and banquet table. I was lucky enough to get at least one of everything else when I was a small child.

The Golden Hippo Fridge is what turned me from a basic player to being addicted! I had to make enough money to buy that – and then when I found out it wasn’t available all the time – I became obsessed until I got it. Now I have the whole theme (except the stuff for cash).

I’m begging you to bring this theme back for a special event of some kind! Maybe a challenge event or something. Also! I’m also begging for the Newz themes to become Curio Shop themes. Maybe as rare as the rares but with a Wshop price tag? Those of us that weren’t randomized pieces in the PeekANewz are longing for a reliable way to get our hands on those.

Do you have any idea why it will not let me put my want list?
