I kind of wish that the winners weren’t randomly drawn. More credit should be given to those to put in extra effort to think of a clever name for the pet. Spot (or Spots) is cute and all but really unoriginal, three winners used it.
We make it random so it’s fair for the younger kids that might enter.
I don’t think it’s fair if they didn’t randomly draw them, DipStick2013. Like Sally said, if little kids enter and choose “Ella” or something, they may not have a good chance. It would not be fair… And it would be disappointing if you didn’t choose a creative enough name and lost because of that.
I had the pretty elephant named Stompin’Sequin and the springer spaniel, Nikki… thats pretty original, don’t you think?
yes those are cool names. unfortunately, residents of new york state aren’t allowed to participate in contests so my entry wouldn’t have won anyway. I picked Harvey for the spaniel.
