Dorothy Lou’s Nursery Designs

I’ve been having a really fun time incorporating cribs into my room designs so that they don’t stand out also so they’re all easily accessible. The Nursery Theme is, of course, the first place to go for an adorable, easy backdrop to any nursery. But, if you’re looking for something a little different, read on for some of my designs.

The Big City Rainbow

Here’s a design for anyone who loves Exposed Brick Walls or anyone who wants to use neutrals as a backdrop for their nursery. I LOVE Exposed Brick Walls but I think my babies would find them a little boring if they didn’t have these bright Celebration Theme Windows and Celebration Tile on the floor.

The colorful pieces in this design, in the kitchen and in the furniture, brighten it up to nursery-level. Not to mention, the Celebration Candy Dispenser and the Winter Bunting on the wall, adds a fun twist to the neutrals in this room.

This room is one of my main nurseries. Since I have a lot of babies, I’ve placed them in a circle. That way, I can easily access the cribs and clearly see each baby.

Rocking Rhinursery

One way to keep your babies organized is to design a room for each animal which is a process I’ve only just started. These rhino babies prefer disco to lullabies and so I set up a loud design for them, featuring the Glampire and Pure of Heart themes. The purple, red and black furniture creates a darker, unconventional nursery scheme that I think is perfect for my rhino babies.

I also added Ohh La La draped windows because the black patterns are perfect against the Glampire palette.

Storybook Suite

The Storybook Theme is a great premium alternative to the Nursery Theme. I love the blues and greens, the painted wallpaper and furniture. And, I’ve added a piano in the corner because my babies love a goodnight concert.

In this room, I’ve organized the cribs in staggered straight lines which is also a good strategy for creating an easy path to your cribs.

Those are three of my favorite nursery designs! Which one is your favorite?

Or (and bear with me here) what do you fill the room with if you’re not rich and you only have one baby at a time?

I only have one baby at a time. I wait for that one to grow up to help spark another baby. I’ve never made a nursery room. I just choose a color crib to go along with whatever room I’m placing the baby in. I haven’t had any complaints from my babies about where they are placed!

Your rooms are super sweet! We have sparked lots of babies on our accounts, but it is very frustrating that when we get a super special pet (exciting yay!) if we raise them, they don’t have any sparks, boooo. Even when we bought the stuffed animals, no sparks. This is just so not cool. We used our cute special animals and paid to spark a baby, but now we end up with no sparks for future generations. Literally sad. WHY???!!!!

Since the special pets don’t have sparks when they are grown to adulthood, I think we should be given the three sparks, which could be put in a depository at the Adoption Center. Each account that is owed sparks for their super special pets can then access sparks for favorite pets that have exhausted their own sparks.

That is amazing! I give you lots of credit for taking care of all those babies, I did one and that was enough :} I was able to get my baby to grow into a kid, but that was it. Good luck. You are amazing!

I like the Storybook room. Very Beatrix Potter & perfect for babies. I can only handle one baby at a time though :)

    Wow! Really clever rooms!

You are an amazing parent! One baby was enough, I can’t imagine taking care of all of those baby requests. Where is Daycare? I couldn’t find it anywhere while trying to raise my baby.
