In our most recent release of Webkinz Next, we’ve added the ability for players to create Avatar Icons for their accounts.
Avatar Icons
Your avatar icon will appear beside your World Name in all your friends’ Friend Lists, in your player details, and other future projects. It’s a great way to make your account stand out and show your own personality.
Avatar Icons are made of three parts: a background, an icon, and a frame. We’ve included several options for you to use right away and you’ll be able to collect more in challenges, events and through our new Seasons.
Here’s how it works:
- Go to your Friend Center by tapping here -

- Tap Edit beside your Avatar icons

- You’ll bring up this interface. The tabs across the top are background, icons, and frames. Tapping the tabs will switch between the options you have.

- Tap any option to try it out in your icon.

- When you’re happy with your Avatar, tap Confirm. The interface will close and your new avatar will not be available for all of your friends to see the next time they log in.

This is very cute! What fun to customize and change as you like. Very cool! On a side note: Has anyone noticed that yellow mines very consistently give out blue gems? I’ve been chasing yellow only for a while now because it’s the last gem I need to complete and I’ve gotten so many blue gems, but few yellow. Another issue: the floating W’s aren’t counting for the new season. I’m not sure if this is a bug or not. Love the new seasons though, what great fun!

These are cute! I was wondering if you could eventually have backgrounds or icons representing the different elements, since I feel that everyone gravitates toward one. I’m a water person and that background that is offered in the Seasons challenge looks like a good fit for me. After that I would love to see each of the pets available in Next represented as an icon, because I think everyone has a favorite webbie and would probably like to be identified that way (i.e. Sally Webkinz by a GREEN KITTY! Me by a unicorn (toothpaste!)) Thanks for working on something new, and for asking for our suggestions. Have a great weekend!
That’s a nice idea! Kinda reminds me of like in Animal Jam. What else would be really nice is being able to “teleport” to other players or message them.
