Why are the Webkinz dragons flightless? They have wings, but why can’t they fly?

Hi alaska267! Webkinz World dragons are majestic pets with loads of magic…who also like to walk around instead of flying! Perhaps it’s due to their rather small wings–it’s easier to walk around a room and not bump into things! And while you’re correct that most Webkinz dragons don’t fly, there are some that do, like the adorable Earth Dragon. Watch for these soaring pets swooping in mid-air!

Do you know what happened to Dr. Quack? My pet needs a check up, because she has very low health, and I have been putting her in bed whenever I leave Webkinz World.

Dr. Quack is now resting in retirement, although he’s still very much a part of Webkinz World! I’m sad to hear your pet isn’t feeling that well, but I have good news: once Webkinz X comes along, I’m sure they’ll be feeling a lot better! I heard that you can only get the nice neon swimsuit when you PJ Collie has it for sale on the counter. Is that true? I’ve been doing some research on the subject ( not knowing the recipe is driving me nuts :) and people have been trying to figure this out for years with no results. Whats up with that? I mean, there was a webkinz forum on clothing recipes and people were stumped by this recipe in 2011! It seems like someone would have figured it out and shared by now. God bless, Silvermist03
Someone may have figured it out, but forgotten the recipe (that would make me really mad at myself..) or wanted to keep it to themselves. =[
It totally makes sense that the dragons don’t fly. Their wings are so tiny that it would look weird haha..

make a large storage bedroom/storeroom in your house and put as many of you dock items in it that you can. That could free up your dock for food.
Oops, didn’t read the “neon” question very carefully. When I re-read it, I note that you wanted the recipe for the neon swimsuit, not the neon tutu! Sorry – back to the drawing board for ghijkl789123!
Actually, I have a bit of advice for sick pets, you can buy medicine from the W Shop, and just feed the medicine to your pets, if your pet doesn’t want the medicine anymore then just feed it healthy foods and put it on a treadmill, your pet will be better in no time!
Okay this is really random and has nothing to do with what you said, but I just read that Ganz recommends under 100 items in your dock and I have over 2,500! 0_0 =O… Is that true Gennelle/Steve and should I make a bunch of storage rooms or something??
Well, it probably can’t hurt to have some storage areas, although the number 100 comes from (I think) the number of pets we recommend to have on 1 account before it could potentially start slowing it down and not your Dock. Otherwise I’d be in trouble with my number of Dock items, too! :)
Okay, I’ll work on making some storage rooms with all of my random rooms. Also, speaking of random rooms, please add the function to delete rooms. It is annoying to have so many small and medium sized rooms I don’t use.
As soon as I have 10 pets on an account, I fill in around the ‘adoption rooms’ until it’s a square, buy a bridge of rooms away from that (usually water or tree rooms, or yards) and start building a planned house. Sometimes I branch off more paths to other houses or areas. That center block of adoption rooms makes a good central storage area.
Remember when Dr.Quack & Mrs.Birdy were dating??? they were a cute a couple :) but i really do wonder whats going on in Mrs.Birdys head ( T_T )

OH OH!!! What if we had a choice whether we want our dragons to fly or walk!! There could be special button next to flying pet which you can click for them to walk or fly! That would be great! :)
Omg, that. is. THE BEST IDEA I’VE EVER HEARD IN AWHILE!!! They should add that as a bonus feature to Webkinz X, THAT WOULD BE TOTALLY AMAZING!!!!
Totally agree you, that would be awesome. It’s pretty cool for your pet to fly or walk when you want. \(^.^)\
That’d be pretty cool! We could do that for other flying animals too, like birds, bugs, or animals from the “Winged” line. That’d be really cool! It’d also be a small way you could personalize your pets, since I guess you could imply that they’d “prefer” one option over the other (or maybe I’m looking too far into it).
That is an awesome idea! Ganz should totally do that. :D

Maybe it contains the berry swimsuit or neon afro from curio shop. Curio shop items can be mixed too.

The answer for loveydove was wrong! WHAT DOES WEBKINZ X HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING???????? Here is a better answer! : 1. Give them some more food. 2. Go to the clubhouse room ( training/workout room)
Fiona has a point, though. The way your pets stay happy and “healthy” will be tweaked starting with Webkinz X, just like the article describes.
I think she also meant that health meters won’t even exist once Webkinz X comes out, so you don’t have to worry about low health anymore. Now we will have to pay attention to energy instead, which is different. ☺§
Also you could give your pet some of Dr.Quacks vitamins from the w-shop. That always brings my pets health up.
It’s actually a glitch (I’m guessing because of the Webkinz X hunger meters). Every time you buy things from the wshop your health goes down. I’ve found that the best way to bring it back up it by going to the exercise room in the clubhouse and by running on every treadmill there. Also if you’re deluxe you can go to the vacation island and eat from the buffet. Don’t buy a ton of food because that makes the health go down even more!
@loveydove and @jellydonut – This is exactly what I was going to say. Try going to the Exercise Room in the clubhouse, or you can purchase treadmills in the W-shop that will raise your health meter. Giving your pet a bath or washing their hands and face in the sinks will also help. Also, @silvermist03 mentioned that you can give your pets vitamins. This will help, too.
You reminded me that I can go to vacation island and send my pet(s) to the spa. All 3 meters are reset to 100%. Also, you can buy vitamins in the W Shop. The vitamins help restore health.
Also, My active pet’s hunger (and health) meter goes down everytime I buy food. If I adopt two pets, etc., and I’m clicking on 20 food items (I always buy a quantity of 20) for each pet, my meter goes down to zero. Then, I have to feed it 9 or 10 items to get it back up. So, you end up wasting 200 or more kinzcash. I finally decided to keep 1 pet on 0, and I make it active when I’m buying food. This is happening because of the changing in the meter coding.

You should try looking on youtube, there are a lot of clothing recipes there. If you can not find it then look at the neon tu-tu recipe and try to fit in some bating suit items, that is how I got the sparkley suit coat. Hope this helps.
Well, Fiona has a point; a lot of the Webkinz dragons (like my favorite, the Whimsy Dragon) have adorably stubby wings! I’m kind of glad that they don’t fly, though, because they seem more canine/feline (i.e. traditional pets) when they’re walking on all fours. But that’s just me!

Hehe, alaksa267 XD I have often wondered that! Especially with the Ice dragon, that dragon has pretty big wings :P I wish that the dragons would fly!
