Giving Thanks for Essential Workers!

November is a time for giving thanks and this year there is nothing we are more thankful for than the essential workers who keep Webkinz World running smoothly. From first responders, to health care workers to teachers, we are so thankful for tireless efforts of all essential workers every single day.

essential workers
We are celebrating essential workers with a series of challenges in Webkinz World this month as well as a community challenge right here on Newz. Throughout the challenges you’ll have a chance to earn two new sets of scrubs for your pet, as well as a poster you can place in your pets’ room.

Your first challenge recognizing first responders starts today and runs from November 1 to 5. First responders are so important in a crisis. They help keep us safe! You can help by gather water from the Wishing Well, clearing access to a fire hydrant and clear debris by playing Tile Towers!

Between November 1 an 5, log into your Webkinz account and look for the challenge icon on the left side of your screen. If you complete the challenge you’ll win a Green Scrubs Top and a wCares Chocolate Bar!

The challenges this month recognize just some of the amazing essential workers. There are so many more than the types of essential workers we have listed here. We appreciate ALL essential workers and thank them for everything they do for us!

You can start your next challenge on November 6!

I was wondering where or how do you get the fire hydrant to put in your room for this weeks essential worker????

Hey Webkinz, can you make the outdoor rooms have snow now instead of the leaves? Since it’s VERY CLOSE to Christmas? Please! I made a Winter Wonderland room, and I want it to look like a Winter Wonderland in that room. My UN is frozenanna2. Thank you!

I think auto mechanics are another essentail worker that we could recognize! I’m sure there are a lot more too that I can’t think of off the top of my head. But if they do another essential workers series, we could recognize more of the others!

PLEASE dont use crazy hardgames JUST FOR A MASK !!

    • alucard says:

I agree, tiny1955! I am so tired of all the challenges that have us play games that are just, as you said, “crazy hardgames”, (and I’ll add Tournament Games to that ‘please don’t use’ list!). Challenges should be fun! Not stressful! Please Ganz/Team Webkinz! Please STOP the crazy hardgames! They are NOT fun to play at anytime! EVER!

I’m thinking that the harder games…or the ones that are physically stressful (ones with lots of ‘clicking’) should be for the long term challenges not the time limit ones. I actually like the Candy Bash 2 game, but can only play for so long or else I have to wear a wrist brace to work.

      • jsforfr says:

I agree with this. The challenges should be fun not stressful and the timed challenges have been so hard recently. I think any regular challenge like these new ones should be easy to complete. The only ones that should be harder are mega challenges and trophy ones. Personally I think these first responder items shouldn’t have even been given as challenge prizes. Now there is no one way I will be able to get more than one of them. They would have been better being part of some kind of floaty event or clicking something in the park/clubhouse.

Agree especially because some of us might be to busy traveling on Thanksgiving even with the Pandemic family is important no matter what especially when you aren’t in the same country state or city with them and some people are also moving and they might not have cable or a wifi for a while and the Pandemic also slows that down too plus a lot of people losing Flash support earlier or being forced to uninstall Flash Player support I hope the adobe free version will be out for mac soon so I can uninstall flash player because that pop up is driving me insane interrupting my meetings not only with Dr appointments but also Church meetings too

the games that get ignored like the word games, e.g., would be GREAT educational games (especially now with so much virtual learning!), instead of the incessant “clicking!” just an idea ;) best, k.
