What are Pet Medallions?
Pet Medallions are a new form of currency in Webkinz World. Each Medallion is pet-specific. When you collect enough of a particular Pet Medallion, you can trade them in to adopt that virtual pet – for FREE! There are also special ‘AnyPet’ Medallions, which act like a wild card and can be used toward any pet.
How do you get Pet Medallions?
You can earn Pet Medallions a couple of ways. Look for the red gift box icon in the Arcade to see which games offer Medallions and when you play one of those games, you have a chance of winning a prize which might be a Medallion! You can win up to 10 prizes per day in the Arcade. And you can earn one ‘AnyPet’ Medallion by trading 10 Pet Medallions of any one pet. Look for more ways to earn Pet Medallions in the future!

Between June 6 and 12 you have even more chances to earn Medallions! You can earn one extra Pet Medallion a day when you see the floating Pet Medallion in Webkinz World and click on it!

Where can you find your Pet Medallions?
Pet Medallions don’t appear in your Dock but it’s easy to see how many you’ve collected. Just open your ‘My Pets’ window and you’ll find a new tab called ‘Medallions’. Medallion pets appear here, along with a meter showing how many Medallions you have collected toward each pet, as well as the total number of Medallions required for each. You can click on each pet for information about its PSI and PSF.

How do you adopt a pet using Medallions?
When you’ve earned enough Medallions to adopt a pet, the meter beneath that pet will change to an ‘Adopt’ button. Just click the button and you will be taken to the Adoption Center and complete the adoption process as you would for any Webkinz pet.

Are Pets adopted using Medallions the same as regular Webkinz Pets?
Just like any Webkinz pet, a Medallion pet comes with its own Pet-Specific Item and Pet-Specific Food, and it behaves like any other pet in Webkinz World. It makes Pet Requests and has Happiness, Hunger, and Energy meters that need to be filled to help increase your Family Score. The only difference is that pets purchased using Medallions do not extend your Full Membership.

Which Pets can you adopt using Pet Medallions?
There are currently twelve pets which can be adopted using Pet Medallions, including two brand new pets that can only be adopted using Medallions! Each pet has a unique Medallion value – the rarer the pet, the more Medallions you’ll need. The pets are:

- Cheeky Monkey
- Clydesdale
- Gargowl
- Signature English Spot Bunny
- Signature Normande Cow
- Stone Lion
- Tigerlily Pup

I counted them again ,I have 13. But no way to get the pony. I think this game is not for real. you won’t tell us how to put the medallions together to get the pet we want. It would be nice , if you could really get the pet you want. but I don’t think you can. it’s just made up,you won’t get anything. Thank’s we have all worked to get a pet, that we won’t ever get.
You have to collect the required number of medallions to unlock the pet. 13 medallions, even if it were for the same pet, is not enough. Each pet shows how many medallions are required to unlock it. When you have that many, a button appears that says Adopt. You can trade 10 medallions for 1 AnyPet medallion, which you can then convert to any pet medallion.

How can you get the pet you want. There is nothing on there to tell you how to trade the medallions for the one you want. I have 9 medallions, and I want the pony. How will I be able to put all the medallions together to get the pet I want ????
You can trade 10 of the same type for an AnyPet medallion, but you still need to collect the total number beneath the pet before you can adopt it.
I would definitely suggest getting rewarded with a medallion more often when playing the games. I had played a game 5 times and just got extra kinz cash or an item each time. It’s okay if it is occasionally not a medallion. But if the players are going to put in the extra time to get real good at the game for a chance to get the medallion, they should at least get what they were playing for. Since you are required to collect so many of the medallions, i don’t think it’ll let players collect pets too quickly or easily (if that’s what you guys were afraid of). But if you make it too hard to get medallions, i can see players giving up on trying to get the pets.

T is very hard for me to clear games to get Medallions, i have gotten some, still not Dragon Fly and only one Rainbow Google, I mostly have a few of others. So wish it was easier, to get Medallions instead of money ? This will take me forever. :(
I have the American Golden plush. It was my first Webkinz I got many years ago. Wee put it on to an account but when I got my next Webkinz we put it on a different account (the one I use now). I still have the plush and would love to have it online. Hopefully Webkinz adds more pets to the pet medallions so I can have the digital versions of pets I have without codes. Like the ones I get from garage sales.
Can you please make it like the watch 3rd party ads where we can choose if we want a Pet Medallion or the other prizes? I’m only playing the games extra for the medallions, and I’m hardly getting any medallions. Yesterday, I got the ten prize maximum, and only one was a medallion, the day before I got only two medallions. I upgraded an account to deluxe specifically to earn medallions (I like the deluxe prize-drop games better, and if I’m going to be spending extra time playing them, I figured I should play the ones I like). Now, that seems like a waste. A waste of my money upgrading just to keep getting unwanted prizes. A waste of my time playing extra for one reason only to get a prize, but not something I would have gone out of my way to win. A waste of your prizes; you’re giving them to someone who doesn’t want them, and honestly, it feels like an insult when I do get a prize that’s not a medallion after all of my real-world money and time. I really like plush pets as well. My goal is to always have a plush pet for my online pets so I don’t think I’ll be using this feature unless there was a way we could also get an plush pet.
