why is ganz remaking old pets now? I mean, at least before they were trying to make the pets sound different by calling them the charming panda or the alpine st. Bernard and others such as that. Now they do not even bother with that. There is already a beaver and there is already a ribbon unicorn. There are so many great ideas out there! Why not use them? Make things like the Afghan hound and the griffon plush. And if you they really feel the need to remake the pets, why not un-retire old ones?I like the old beaver’s design better than this one. Oh, and on a final note, maybe they wouldn’t run out of ideas so fast if they didn’t retire pets so quickly! It’s kind of ridiculous that the only way to get certain webkinz is to shell out hundreds of dollars ( Signature timber wolf, Bernese mountain dog, German short-haired pointer…etc.)
Believe it or not, it’s actually easier to do a remake than unretire an old one. I don’t know how, it just is. Fiona Feathers said so.
I think Ganz is trying to get more people to buy E-Store points and Deluxe memberships. Why else would they make plush remakes for every month, and not accept ideas for new plushes? Plus, they came up with a virtual version of the Wheaten Terrier Puppy, which was suggested by several people. Honestly, plushes are WAYYYYY better than the virtuals… :/
Don’t get me wrong, some of the remakes are really cool; I’m just saying I don’t know why they haven’t really used any of our plush ideas… There are SO many creative Webkinz users, that have magnificent ideas for plushes. But alas, they remain just ideas, because they aren’t used. :(
I agree with you. I really wish they had never started the E-points and Deluxe stuff. I have kids that play Webkinz as well and I can’t afford to get Deluxe memberships for everyone. Not to mention the fact that I see some great things for E-points that I know they would like to have but those things you cannot send to someone else. It’s very frustrating and annoying because I don’t have a lot of money to begin with. I’m on the fence about the re-make pets though because I was away from Webkinz for some years and missed a lot of great plushies so I like the chance to be able to get some that have been retired but at the same time I know there are SO many great animals that could also be made into new plushies. Either way, I really enjoy most of them!
They do accept ideas actually. You can email customer support about ideas at webkinzsupport@ganz.com, and they will pass the ideas off to the creative team. Just be aware that it takes a long time to make a new Webkinz, so don’t expect it to happen next month.
These pets are cute! But they look like some of the older pets. I think Ganz is running out of ideas though. August already? 2017 is going by fast! Here’s just a request for September’s pets. POTM: Webkinz Jelly Bean Puppy SEPTEMBERS FEATURED PETS: Birthday Cake Googles and a Confetti Yorkie :)

I know most of us love Signatures, but bringing them wouldn’t be the most feasible or efficient thing to do. Signatures cost more to make, so they’ll cost more to buy. Ganz didn’t just decide to end the Signature line on whim, it wasn’t efficient for them.
The ribbon unicorn looks like what would happen if you left the ribbon unicorn you already have in the sun for too long. The beaver looks like it belongs on Caddy Shack. I just want a new googles <\3
Yes, please, I’d take a new googles! :D I feel like lots of people are upset with Ganz for making so many remakes of their older pets…make a new googles, Ganz, and you can fix this problem! :P

Another month, another round of remakes. Ganz, why do you retire pets only to release remakes of them later? There are still so many animals that haven’t made that I think a lot of people would enjoy. How about a Webkinz Great Dane? Or a Webkinz Dove. Maybe even a Webkinz Python? There are so many things you could make, so why only release remakes?
I would love it if Ganz made those pets! :D I really want more birds, underwater pets, and snakes. (Because snakes are like, the most unique Webkinz, and they only have two!) I’d love a dove, as well as a raven, a hawk, maybe a golden eagle or a falcon? I also really want more wolves and foxes, and I’m still holding onto the dream that one day they’ll make a cross between a unicorn and a pegasus, because that would be amazing.
Webkinz was just trying to please their fans. They thought releasing old Webkinz would make us happy by giving us a second chance at some retired pets.
Webkinz started making remakes in March, and some were pretty good. It takes a year to make a new Webkinz. We shouldn’t just complain every month, since there isn’t a way they could change it at this point. Next year, we will probably have new, really great Webkinz. We can’t just repeat the same thing every month.
That is true. And I do sometimes like it when they remake another Webkinz that’s retired or expensive, I just wish they wouldn’t do it all the time. But, like you pointed out, it does take around a year for them to make it, so hopefully they have taken our advice and are planning some more different pets for the future. :)

Omg! LOL! I just drew a dove for the next pet contest! I drew about 35 pets. Ganz be prepared for all of my entries! XD Personally I like the unicorn and beaver. I think they are so cute! I love unicorns so I need to get this pet! Lol!
That beaver creeps me out. But the ribbon unicorn is pretty cute.
This as a big disappointment for me. I already have the Ribbon Unicorn, why re-release it as a new pet? Now if they could have just added some wings to it and called it the Ribbon Alicorn, I’d be jumping up and down with joy, which isn’t an easy feat considering I’m a senior citizen.
You made me laugh. I too would love to jump up and down and skip down the street, but alas they just happen in dreams and memories.
