We have listened to the concerns of our Webkinz fans and decided that we will rollback the Kinzville Park change made today. As of noon tomorrow (March 13th) players will once again be able to enjoy chatting with KinzChat PLUS while visiting the park.
Our decision to reduce KinzChat PLUS was not taken lightly. Our numbers were showing that the system was not being well used, with the large majority of rooms available completely empty. Over 90% of social play was happening in regular KinzChat. The most used KinzChat PLUS area has always been the Trading Room, as it is much easier to make a difficult trade when you can use a full dictionary of words. As such we never even considered removing KinzChat PLUS from the Trading Room. It was our belief that with so much of our current chatting occurring in the Trading Room, that this would be enough.
After making the initial announcement, we heard from numerous fans about their concerns about the change. One of the most impactful concerns was the ability for players to enjoy chatting without getting interrupted by continuous trading requests. We agree that this would have been a problem.
In the end we decided that the best course of action was to just open the Park back up again. We feel this gives our KinzChat PLUS players a large area in which to chat, while allowing our monitors to focus their efforts so to provide the best service possible. The Coral Cove and Clubhouse KinzChat PLUS features will not be returning.
We will be making a few more small changes, but we are committed to making the Kinzville Park your go-to location for fun KinzChat PLUS chatting.

I rarely go to the park; however, I find it admirable that Webkinz decided to allow pets a chance to chat. My problem is finding my friends in the trade rooms. I try to help them by finding items for them. How can i do this when I can’t even find them? I go to the trade rooms now and I find I am not having any fun. I want to see my friends and trade with them. Please return the “Finding Friends” section to the trade rooms. Right now, I don’t want to purchase any more estore points, get new pets, or visit the trade rooms. I am just not having much fun any more.

Ganz. I have to say that the new trading room without friends finder is way more difficult for us to trade. We can’t easily go back to our homes and grab the stuff we need to trade anymore. It’s simply impossible. Most of us have people who we prefer trading with, and it takes a million clicks to just get into the right room. Please consider bringing the friends finder back to the trading plus. Thank you.

Thank you Ganz for not cutting us off from the ability to chat with our friends. BUT…………we need a friend finder added to the park or it won’t matter if we can chat with our friends if we can not find them. Would it be possible to open 1 other room in the clubhouse for chatting, perhaps rotate rooms every few weeks or so. Such as collection room open for chatting for a couple weeks, then change it to the restaurant, then change it to the games room. The rooms are so cool, it would be a pity never to go there again, other than completing some challenge.
I am somewhat happy that the park came back, however there is still no friend finder. How are we supposed to chat with our friends if we can’t find them? What is the point in having a friends list now that there is no where to use the friend finder. Regular Kinzchat is no fun so I don’t want to find my friends there.

im glad ganz is doing that but i wish that they wouldn’t of changed it at all. i dont see the point……. its just making their players sad. :( like me

What’s the difference between regular kinz chat and kinz chat plus???
Regular KinzChat only lets you select from a list of things to say, where KinzChat+ lets you type out your words. :)
