We have listened to the concerns of our Webkinz fans and decided that we will rollback the Kinzville Park change made today. As of noon tomorrow (March 13th) players will once again be able to enjoy chatting with KinzChat PLUS while visiting the park.
Our decision to reduce KinzChat PLUS was not taken lightly. Our numbers were showing that the system was not being well used, with the large majority of rooms available completely empty. Over 90% of social play was happening in regular KinzChat. The most used KinzChat PLUS area has always been the Trading Room, as it is much easier to make a difficult trade when you can use a full dictionary of words. As such we never even considered removing KinzChat PLUS from the Trading Room. It was our belief that with so much of our current chatting occurring in the Trading Room, that this would be enough.
After making the initial announcement, we heard from numerous fans about their concerns about the change. One of the most impactful concerns was the ability for players to enjoy chatting without getting interrupted by continuous trading requests. We agree that this would have been a problem.
In the end we decided that the best course of action was to just open the Park back up again. We feel this gives our KinzChat PLUS players a large area in which to chat, while allowing our monitors to focus their efforts so to provide the best service possible. The Coral Cove and Clubhouse KinzChat PLUS features will not be returning.
We will be making a few more small changes, but we are committed to making the Kinzville Park your go-to location for fun KinzChat PLUS chatting.

This comment is a little late but it’s something I’ve been trying to get around to. Webkinz world PLEASE bring back the other rooms in the kinzchat plus clubhouse. I don’t want to sound picky. I’m really happy that you brought the park back, but I really want to be able to talk in more club house rooms. The trading rooms get very crowded I’ve seen like twenty people just talking in the trading rooms in the last two days and I don’t go on a whole lot! I think webkinz was more fun with more rooms. I know you work hard to make it fun. But I think me and lots of other people want the other rooms. Please bring them back or at least one or two other rooms. Thank you
Thank you Ganz for bringing back KinzChat Plus to the Park. However, with this change to “reopen” the Park, it has apparently caused other glitches. The loading of the screens is so slow and hangs up everywhere you go in Webkinz World. Moving around is so much slower and screen freezes occur for a few seconds and then resumes. KinzChat Plus, KinzChat, and the Smiley faces are not always available while in the room or park. You might have one without the other, or none. Or you had both, and then one disappears. This often happens after you look at your friend’s list while in the room. Or when you use a Smiley and then find your chat is gone. Just sharing. Hope you can fix this. Tks for listening.

Thank you Ganz. I know you are always trying to make Webkinz the best it can be and put a lot of thought into everything you do. Sometimes changes work, sometimes they don’t. I appreciate that you are willing to be flexible to make your users happy. I personally feel that being able to Chat freely in the Trading Rooms re trades and the Park re other stuff is sufficient.
Please give us back a few KinzChat Clubhouse Rooms so we can dance :)

The only room I ever go in is the trading room, so this doesn’t really bug me. P.S. Don’t be a hater.
I think this is a great decision. To all of you who were complaining, just realize Webkinz isn’t as big as it used to be, and they really did need to lighten up the rooms they had to monitor. At least webkinz is still open!!! You’d be more sad/upset/whatever if it were to be GONE FOREVER. They were just doing what is in the best interest for all of the fans, and their business, and if that means closing a few rooms, so be it. I’m glad they listened and brought back the park though!
