Fans are super-excited about their Super Surprise Boxes, so here is everything you need to know about this great gift giveaway!
When you logged in on April 3 or afterward, you should have seen a Today’s Announcement awarding you your first Super Surprise Box. There were some technical issues that were fixed on April 4th, but by now everyone should have received one. You may need to click the “Get Items from Storage” button and look through your gift boxes to find it. If you still can’t find it, please contact our Customer Support team at webkinzsupport@ganz.com and let them know.
You can open your first Super Surprise Box right away! Just drag it from your Dock into a room to watch it open. Inside you will find a fantastic prize and your next Super Surprise Box. However, you won’t be able to open the next one right away. When you drag it into a room it will tell you how many days before it can be opened.
EVERYONE (from Free Players, to Full Members, to Deluxe Members) gets a total of 10 Super Surprise Boxes. Here is how long you can expect to wait to open each box:
- Box 1: Right away!
- Box 2: 1 day
- Box 3: 2 days
- Box 4: 3 days
- Box 5: 1 week
- Box 6: 2 weeks
- Box 7: 1 month
- Box 8: 1 month
- Box 9: 1 month
- Box 10: 1 month
If you don’t want to wait to open a Super Surprise Box, there is an option to use eStore Points to open it right away. The cost to open a box will get cheaper the less time you have to wait. You can drag your current Super Surprise Box into a room any time to see how much time you have left to wait, so don’t forget to check every day you play!
Each box contains a unique prize pool of eStore items, so you’ll never get the same prize twice on the same account! And once you open your 10th box, you will win 1 of 10 amazing rides, like the Kinz Coaster, the Go Kart Track, or maybe even a Gum Fall Slide!
Because each prize is an eStore item, this means they can’t be traded or sent through KinzPost, so what you win on each account with all 10 boxes will be unique to you!
Please note that players with existing accounts can log in and get their first Super Surprise Box until May 13th, but as of Wednesday, May 14th only new accounts will receive them. So if you have an account that you haven’t yet logged into, please do so before then. This will not affect any of your other Super Surprise Boxes already on your account; you will still be able to receive and open boxes 2-10 past that date.

I too received an aztec calendar. Will it be exchanged for a new estore item on April 23? Sorry but I don’t consider myself lucky to have received it when others received an estore prize. Most people have already bought that from Artie.
I also got the Aztec Calendar on 2 of my accounts. But, I guess since we already have them, they won’t be exchanged for something else. And yes, I bought the same thing from Arte when he had them, so it’s not “lucky”, I just used my kinzcash.

I also got the aztec calendar instead of an estore item. I want it exchanged for an estore item because I don’t think it’s fair that they should give some people something they already have because they bought it with kinzcash

Why is it some accounts do not get the boxes

There was a glitch for about a day when the boxes first started appearing, so if you still haven’t received one, send an email to webkinzsupport@ganz.com with your username and let them know you haven’t gotten your first box yet. Customer Support will help you out.

So if you don’t use your e-store points to open boxes then it takes about six months to redeem them all?

I was able to open all of them the same day on this account (many people were) but I was not able to on my other account and it is going to take MONTHS to get them all opened! Also, how is the Kinzville Academy gym wallpaper considered a “prize”?? Some of my items were great and I really appreciate them but it should really be fair for everyone. :(
There were 2 rare items that made it into the prize pools by mistake, but they have since been taken out. Once we update again on April 23rd, it won’t be possible to win them through the Super Surprise Boxes. So if you happened to get one, you should count yourself very lucky!
Too bad some of us didn’t even get one surprise box so consider yourself VERY lucky!!!!!!

Why did you not get a surprise box?
They are not taken out until the 23rd, so you can still get one. Don’t open the box until after the update unless you don’t mind getting a curio shop item.
I don’t know what’s so lucky about it, since we can buy that item for KC at Arte’s. I got that on three accounts and was disappointed.
Yeah I wouldn’t call it lucky, unless the items are Retired. I was a tad disappointed as well, but it will be alright.

Hello :) I was one who rec’d the rare calendar but was not upset, as at least I could sell it (as I already have one). Though we are all very grateful, I am sure, for the estore items, it does become an issue when we receive items we have already purchased in the past and then cannot trade, sell, or kinzpost them. I had to make a special guest bedroom with two car beds, b/c let’s be honest, what do you do w/ two of the same car bed otherwise?? I will likely keep the last prize box unopened as I collect boxes and do not want to end up with a second coaster, e.g., so thanks for the heads up…
We have 8 accounts, We have not received ANY mystery Boxes? Also only 2 accounts got Xmas presents. Talk about not Fair. And can no longer call and have issues any issues fixed! I miss actual Customer Service. emails just give one a form letter. Last one didn’t even apply to problem. I really am beginning to dislike all these Updated changes! I MISS THE OLD WEBKINZ
For people not receiving boxes…maybe try clearing out your history and cache?? I clear mine almost daily, just so that I know my computer is loading the most recent link for Webkinz. When Webkinz had the floaty clicky in Webkinz World for the Lego Girls Clothing, I wasn’t seeing any of them and once I cleared my cache and history, it started working!?!? It’s worth a try!!??

Thanks for this information and these super prizes, but I notice that you say each prize is an eStore item; however, I received an aztec calendar (a rare item) in one of my boxes. Was this correct then? Also, I understand that the way things stand now eStore items cannot be traded or sent through KinzPost, but I wish you would consider a new way for accounts to be connected so that items can be exchanged between accounts that are designated by the user. It would help so much! Thanks for reading and thanks again for these fun prizes.

Hi LambTyler, Yes it was a glitch I think in the second paragraph it says something about the rare items problem. I also agree with pingpongkitties I wish we could send e-store items maybe though KinzPost, cause my sister had gotten something I wanted and I got something my sister wanted from the boxes. And one more thing Ganz Please go back to the regular way how rooms load also I think when we log-in, we would like to see the NewzPaper again so we know what’s going on. Please and Thank You Ganz

I also agree! I got so many neat things in my boxes but none of them go with any of my themes. I’d rather be able to trade them for stuff I want and would actually use.

You can add them in through diffrent ways so that it looks like they at least go with the theme totomumu. if that Does not work than you can try making a new room so they go with that stuff
Yeah, it’s not fair that we can’t send items because I had the same problem as markg97 my sister got something I wanted and she couldn’t send it to me and I had something my sister needed and I couldn’t send it to her and also it’s a nice surprise to get a present. I also think we should be able to sell anything and everything because I have so much stuff that I don’t want that I can’t sell. Also, Ganz, please do more Floaty-Clickies I like them they’re fun

I believe why they won’t let you sell send and trade estore items is because you paid real money for that and if somebody ever hacked your account you wouldn’t want them to trade send or sell them…………. not saying that your account will get hacked, just if. But it would be nice if we could. If only there was a way.

I liked the old way it loaded us to the newspaper. More than once I’ve clicked on my box for the day only to find the next day it didn’t show I’d opened it. :( I then didn’t have all my boxes clicked to fill the heart. How can this glitch be corrected? Also, I got my box in one of my accounts almost right away and it let me get more than 1/2 of my gifts right away that night! (I have one of my accounts set for Australia time)
I totally agree. I already know about all that the adds say. we get a lot of that already. please change it back to the old loading way! and same for me with the sister thing it’s nice with the gift boxes and all but I don’t think it’s fair
I agree with that. I liked the way rooms loaded before since it caused less problems. We also should be able to trade, send or delete estore items. I get some estore items I really do not want to use and this makes it NOT SO FUN!
I got an Aztec calendar too, which I thought was not cool since I have already bought two of them from Arte for kinzcash. I don’t see people being willing to pay to open these boxes, because if people have estore points, they use them to buy estore things they want, not to open a gift that contains a random estore thing they might not even want.
And today I got Ancient Civilizations flooring in my super surprise gift box. This is a flooring I have bought from Arte at least six times with KinzCash. This flooring is not a super surprise! It is actually a super disappointment. :(

I think they pick for u randomly, and that’s why we are getting a lot of different items. I guess u have to cross ur fingers and see what ya get!
Two things to discuss. One – today was the fourth box and I rec’d an Ancient Civilization flooring, rare but NOT from eStore. Two – my cousin is now a “free” member (he hasn’t bought a new webkinz for over a year) and although he got a box, when he brought stuff into his room to check it out, he wasn’t allowed to put it back, and was told there is a 15 ITEM LIMIT on his storage?? This is nonsense!! The stuff WAS in storage, he brought it INTO his room but can’t put it back? That’s just mean.

I have an expired account too but i have a 50 item limit…? But i had about 200 items in my dock when the account expired to all the selling and stuff getting stuck in my room was pretty annoying.

pingpongkitties, I totally agree with you! Most of the stuff I got I don’t need, but I can’t sell it, can’t send it and I’m sure I can’t trade it. I am not pleased about this at all. They are junking my dock! Webkinz, please rethink this!
