Due to ongoing technical issues with Webkinz Party Packs, that often cause them not to start, they will be retired from the W Shop at midnight, August 25th. Any Party Packs that you currently own will remain in your Dock and can still be used, however we cannot guarantee that they will work properly, due to these ongoing issues.
Even though this feature is being removed, the party continues in Webkinz World! You can always meet up with your friends at the Kinzville Park and at the Webkinz Clubhouse, and it’s always fun to challenge your friends to games at the Tournament Arena. You’ll also notice that some of the loot bag prizes will be appearing on Webkinz prize wheels in the future.
Don’t forget to keep the party going by downloading the Webkinz Desktop Application, so you can enjoy Webkinz for years to come!

True, but i have gone through that many times now. I’ve been playing for 11 years now and have gone through the happy and sad of things being added and taken off. I will not leave just because of the party packs being retired, but it does make me sad to see them go.

That is true. Some people may stop playing because of this while others may still continue playing. I am also upset that parties are going, but at the same time, I will not leave because of that. There are so many old features that were taken out that I really loved, Mazin Hamsters which was my personal favorite), but Webkinz has added in newer features that I enjoy too such as the variety of growing seeds available through events.
I loved Mazin Hamsters as well. I do wish that they could bring it back…
I don’t mean to be rude, but I have to agree. All these new updates are kinda making Webkinz boring. I have to say, I do miss the old version of Webkinz.
Perhaps you could make the ‘invite a friend over’ option available again since you’re getting rid of the party packs which were our only other way to have friends over? Fixing that option would be much appreciated.

Awesome.. Being a new player I never even got the chance to see what a party looks like (the only time I tried attending, I couldn’t, instead about a dozen items disappeared from my account) -although they sound like by far the best idea and the most fun you can have in WK world… And now that I have a party pack and also friends I would really like to invite (and I’d like to attend one too, but afraid to do so again), you’re retiring them… Wouldn’t fixing them be a ‘slightly better’ idea??! Not even mentioning, a lot more fair to people who purchased party packs, just so they can try them (and we could go on).. People are practically begging you to fix them, yet nothing is happening.. I just simply can’t believe that a feature like this can’t be fixed (and, as I read, for very long years now)…
I wish that the new players would have a chance to go to at least just ONE party before the packs retire. Only the older players (including me cause i started playing in 2009) were able to know what the parties were like, and now the newer players are all wishing that they could do it too.
Yes, that’s exactly what I meant and feel, babytwinkleavfk!… :( I Soo wanted to go to these parties, because they honestly sounded and felt like the best idea and fun ever! And, also, finally something that’s a bit more ‘personal’ -not just random pets passing by each other in the clubhouse, but ‘meeting’ your wk friends, people you at least ‘know’ in a sense, and, also, an opportunity to get to know them better, while playing and having fun! And I never got to experience that.. :( If I’m ‘lucky’ I May be able to watch a video about it somewhere, some time… It’s so sad.. And it seems like all the best features of the game are being cancelled for some reason: for example I read somewhere that there was a ‘Runway Room’ in the Clubhouse before, where the players could do a ‘fashion show’ of their own and then rate each other’s outfits -that sounded like such a great and fun idea to me!! And now it’s nowhere.. Why?? Instead we have a ‘classroom’ that Nobody Ever visits -it’s just a barren wasteland.. I really don’t get it.. :( Btw, I just had an idea.. -I think I may create a new account, which has basically nothing in it, then put everything in the dock (so that things don’t disappear) and ask people to send party invitations, while they can, and then I may be able to at least Once experience what a party is like!! -Do you think that would work?! I just don’t know if free players can go to parties too, but I don’t see why they couldn’t.. If I happen to go through that trouble and send you the new account name, would you be able and, perhaps, willing to invite me to a party? :) I’d be soo grateful!! (^‿^) And now it seems to be the only (and last) way to experience what a party is like.. I’ll write if I actually get around doing that! :) I’d be so so happy if it worked!! :))
As someone who has nearly played for ten years, I have experienced going to multiple parties as well as getting my outfits rated in the Runway Room. It was definitely a lot of fun being a part of a party and bond with a lot of my friends that I personally knew. However, I have a bit of mixed opinions about the Runway Room. Even though some people gave really honest and good feedback on my outfits, there were times when people deliberately gave me as well as others the lowest score possible. Nevertheless, I do agree with you that I wish that the Runway Room should come back and the party packs should not retire. I did enjoy these aspects too and I wish you the best of luck in getting invited to a party. As a free member, I have been invited to ten parties last month and for some reason, it won’t let me attend. It isn’t because free members cannot attend, but because of the general glitches that are going on within the system.
Thanks for your comment, crystalfawns53! :) Yeah, I kinda figured that there must have been some ‘petty decisions’ based on personal stuff in the runway room, but it still sounded like it was great fun.. Btw, I’m sorry you couldn’t attend so many parties.. :( The same thing happened to me: I’ve been invited twice in this short time and the first time the ‘attend button’ never even showed up, while the second time -like I wrote- I couldn’t attend, but lost a lot of items.. That’s why I had this idea with a new account -if you don’t have basically anything, then you can’t really lose anything, hehe :D (Though WK may surprise me once more..) Btw, while on the subject, yesterday I went ahead and created a new account!! :)) The name is Fairlight and I’d be really happy if people -including You :) – could add me and send invitations while it’s still possible! :) I also have a pizza party pack in my original account, which I can send to this new one and then I could invite you too! :) -Who knows, maybe this time it will work -it’s worth at least a try! :) I think I will write a separate comment, so people could see it and maybe have some parties while it’s still possible (of course I’d need a heads-up so that I know when to log in to the new account). I too remember when we could invite friends over to our houses to visit. That was a lot of fun! These party packs haven’t worked well for awhile; it is sad they are going, but also good because it’s so frustrating for the kids. I have seen mine get sad when people don’t show up to their parties, as well as they can’t get the loot bag when they can’t get into someone else’s party.

From the sound of it that is what they are going to do for now. Have them as wheel prizes. Several player have posted the idea of making a Party Room in the Clubhouse and rotating the different parties in the room each month. I REALLY like that idea and see that working for everyone. Just one HUGE party each month that EVERYONE can go to!

Serious question that I’d like to hear from Sally and co. on. The Goody Bags from the Parties had some pretty cool exclusive items, like the Paper Crown. I always did parties because I wanted some of those, but wasn’t ever able to obtain them. If you retire the Party Packs, could you please make the Goody Bag prizes available in some other way? Whether that’s the W-Shop, Peek-a-Newz, the Wheel of Wow, or Player Appreciation Day. That would take a lot of the sting out of losing the parties.

Webkinz Parties were always an enigma that I never truly got to experience. When I was little, I always bought a party pack for every birthday my pets had. But because of the difficulty a kid has judging time as well as playing Webkinz whenever they want to, I never made it to a single one of my parties. I mean, how do you tell your mom, “I need to stop practicing the piano now because I’m holding a birthday party on the computer for my stuffed animal”? The one time I did make it, I logged in about halfway through the party time and couldn’t find any button to attend, which could have been because 11 year old me didn’t know where to look. In the last year since I rejoined Webkinz (it’s been almost a year to the day, which is, coincidentally, the same day as my actual birthday), I’ve been too worried about the amount of Kinzcash and not knowing the schedules of anybody I have as a Webkinz friend anymore to purchase one, but I did get invited to a couple and there were two I was finally able to go to. One never worked at all. The other, a Circus party, worked eventually, though I was never able to get a piece of cake, but the games had no exclusive prizes to be won and I made the mistake of switching pets and wasn’t able to come back to get my Goodie Bag, the thing I’ve always been curious about for close to a decade now. It disappoints me greatly that Ganz is removing these rather than fixing them and that I will never be able to experience a well functioning Webkinz Party.
It’s true that alot of us were little kids and it was hard to experience one when you had to listen to your parents at the same time. Usually it had to be on a weekday where both my sister and I were off from school. Occasionally my aunt would join us and we’d all use the party packs as a family, and those would be the only times I could party. I would like to relive the memories someday, maybe the minigames could all be combined into one game someday in the tournament arena, like a Webkinzbox Party Pack of sorts? I’d love to play with my sister and aunt again 10 years later.
Hmm…so, there’s no chance they’ll work properly at any time in the future? Maybe I should sell mine, if I can’t really use them. That’s really sad, I had hoped they would work someday so I could finally have a party.
Can you make a storage item for them; like you did with coins and cars! I like to have my dock clean and don’t usually hold a lot of items in it! Having a place to put boxes would be amazing!!
