As many Webkinz players know, if you don’t log into your Webkinz.com for a year, your account becomes “archived”. Normally, if a player wants access to an archived account, we’re able to restore it within 24 hours.
Due to Webkinz X, however, we are temporarily unable to restore archived accounts. We currently do not have an estimate as to when this functionality will return, but we are actively working on a solution.
In the meantime, if you’re a returning player who wants to check out Webkinz X, we encourage you to sign up for a Free account by registering at www.webkinz.com. We’ll post another update when we’re able to restore accounts again.

Yeah I sill cannot see my garden on one of my accounts. I removed everything bought a new room and replanted everything. I worked for one day and now everything is back to grey boxes. On my other account everything is fine. Explain that

Your account has to be inactive for a year to be archived. You’ll still be able to adopt a pet on your Free account to make it Full.
Just to be sure… my regular account won’t be affected, right? I went on webkinz on Monday.
It only affects accounts that have been inactive for a year or more.
What does “archived” mean?
An archive is an accumulation of historical records, or the physical place they are located. Archives contain primary source documents that have accumulated over the course of an individual or organization’s lifetime, and are kept to show the function of that person or organization. That’s what came up when I looked it up on Google XD

I agree. But Ganz is trying their hardest to get everything good :)
But, when you think about it, they didn’t need to change it, or at least not all that they did. I think they should’ve installed a series of updates, each at a different times, after they had worked out all the bugs in that particular installment. And I still think it’s weird that your Webkinz say your name. It’s especially annoying if you have a Kinztube and you want to record yourself playing, and you also don’t want the other people of the internet to know your actual name. If you’ve entered a name other than your real name, that wouldn’t really be a problem, but I’m sure plenty of people entered their real names. Also, oOBubbleTroubleKinzOo, I think there were, but then a lot of them were fixed…. And then we got new ones. My point is just I think they should’ve waited on releasing it.
Very good point Pokekinz! The name thing needs to go and I home someone replies because they do try to keep us safe but really dropped the ball on this!
I know pokekinz the names especially the first time it happened i screamed (quietly) and fell out of my chair wondering how it knew my name ( i was 4 when my mom set my account up i didn’t know they needed your name) – mackadd
I couldn’t agree more. I don’t even go by my birth name now, but I opened my account back in 2007 when I was really little, so it’s kind of awkward. Like… whoa, I haven’t heard THAT name in a long time. I also agree that it’s possibly dangerous and creepy if you record videos, knowing that people could track information.
I agree Pokekinz, especially because they KNEW how many glitches they still had to fix, but they released the update anyway. It’s not good when you have to create a post listing what is going to glitch in a new release. I love Webkinz, but they should have taken more time.
Unfortunately, when you release a new update like this that’s so large, there are many issues that aren’t apparent in the testing stage that only become apparent once the update goes live for everyone. We’re trying our best to solve issues as quickly as possible.
Sorry Gennelle, it has been a couple of weeks and I still don’t see much improvement. I can’t get my furniture to go in the room right. It is very aggravating. The jobs don’t do right. May it should have been done a little at a time.
Our next big update is on July 29, with over 100 new fixes happening.
Just out of curiosity, is the resolution in the pet rooms going to improve? It looks kinda fuzzy, almost how it looked in the app. I feel like the picture had a lot more clarity before. I figure it will be fixed in the next update, but I was just wondering. Thanks!
Gennelle could you please ask the techs to concentrate on fixing the daily playing issues first. It’s quite annoying to play in the arcade and the pets are out of energy in a matter of two games (even if they are in bed) and you can’t play while the speech bubble is open but the game continues behind it and you have no control and lose. Also the biggest issue is still with the pet hearts and hunger levels dropping so quickly and frequently – it’s costing a fortune in food. We would still like to have our hamsters fixed. And this is just a sort of silly little thing but when our pets are sleeping the larger pet avatar appears to be crying as the z’s show up – it’s kinda sad. The pets seem soooooo miserable even when their happiness meters are full – when we look through our pet lists they all are constantly frowning. Also the requests from pets are too slow or non-existent on some pets. The map is so glitchy that it’s causing eye strain. These are things that make playing daily quite difficult. Also if the Kinzville Valley home is meant to be on the map it should be in the map’s dock not our regular docks that have rendered it useless. Also what is the Surf pool? Got the item but nothing shows up – shouldn’t these family pet score prizes actually work and the Spiral Water slide is also broken, my pets just sit in the middle of the graphic not even on the slide. That’s all I can think of right now, but those are daily issues that I think should be fixed first because it makes coming to Webkinz World a chore and not so much fun. Broken items should be the last of our concerns.

totally agree. webkinz x is annoying. there was NOTHING wrong with webkinz, why the overhaul? a series of updates would have been much better, giving everyone a chance to adjust a little at a time, and maybe grow to like it.

There really are. It’s so much work now, for so much disappointment and so few returns.
I agree. I wish they would of known and fixed all this issues that were going to happen and then added WebkinzX. I’m actually starting to hate the WebkinzX idea now. So many issues that they have to fix. So many issues with animated items. This should of been fixed before they added on WebkinzX. Now my pets in my house look like how they do on the mobile app. They look disorted and weird. My Chinese dragon doesn’t have a neck! And my Lava dragon’s tail is popping off his but! Only normal place is in club. That’s when the pets look normal. I’m starting to wish they never thought of webkinzX. I’ve noticed a lot of people left webkinz because of it. Trading rooms aren’t even full anymore. Seems like everyone, like left.
Hardly anything works! My rooms glitch out, the furniture does too. Even when I feed my pet, the hunger meter doesn’t go up, as well as the other meters. Its all messed up. They shouldn’t have done it all at once. They should have eased into it. I miss the old layout so, so much. Though, like the family score, I think that’s a really cool feature.

I know, it really worries me. Other places there are people talking about leaving in large amounts. So many don’t enjoy the game now. I’ve invested too many years and money to just give up now, but honestly I can barely get in to WW now at all anyway. I get kicked out repeatedly. On any given day, I log in and have to keep logging in repeatedly until a) my dock shows up without being cut off b) I don’t get an error message saying I can’t connect to webkinz world and that takes me about 7 or 8 login attempts until one finally comes up right. After that I can do maybe three arcade game dailies until I get kicked out again and have to start all over trying to get in. It’s no fun at all. If I want to harvest my food from trees or dispensers I go in on the blurry app because it’s quicker than trying to navigate the messed up map that jumps back to my current position no matter how many times I click and drag. And like I said I get kicked out more often than not anyway before I can do much of anything.

That would be wonderful, thank you. My username in webkinz world is bunnismom. I’m starting to wonder if it has anything to do with either the servers I’m on here or my large account. Can the amount of pets or items influence how well our account load? I have 329 pets and counting on my personal account, and I have heard people say not to do that but to spread them out over several accounts. I never wanted to mess with more than one so I kept adopting on one account. Other members of my extended family have their own accounts but mine seems to be the one with the most problems.

Michael, it is nice for you to offer help to this one player, but after reading posts here and other places online, I don’t think terayvonne is the only one with this issue. For me, it’s hit or miss on different accounts, different days, different times of the day, different browsers on if or what I will be able to play. Even here typing, I only see 1/2 of the block and can not see if I have a typo to fix before hitting enter (I can not even scroll to see what I am writing). There is just so much that needs to be fixed. Keep up the diligent effort to make it all right and all work for everyone. Thanks.

For example, I got kicked out 5 times (meaning I was in the middle of something and it brought be straight to the login screen), and I all logged in to do was the marshmallow collection, spin the wheel of wow, and logout. Just those 2 things ended up taking almost 1/2 hour, and I even skipped doing the logout carnival. This was on only 1 account. On every account I have the same scrolling issue tarayvonne mentioned in the house, it’s next to impossible to move to more than just a couple of rooms unless I walk from 1 to the next, which for how slow the rooms load, I just don’t have time for. I hope looking into tarayvonne’s account you are able to fix those issues for everyone. Thanks!!!
In all honesty, it was a terrible idea to debut Webkinz X in its ‘work in progress’ stage. It’s like becoming impatient with a cake in the oven and taking it out early. Sure, it’s still a cake, but it’s mushy and under cooked in a lot of places. I still enjoy Webkinz, but there’s so many things I can’t do or are too difficult.
yeah Ikawolf when the cake is all mushy that means that its not baked enough webkinz is not a terrible idea webkinz is still fun to me.

No it’s not. Mine were archived for several years (all 7 of them!) and Ganz was great in helping me to get them back. Of course as they said, now it may not be quite as easy with the change to Webkinz X, but eventually they will work it out. If you have the required information about your archived account , once it’s fixed, they should be able to restore it quite quickly.

That’s me now. I don’t recall a day when I didn’t log onto Webkinz (I do have a few exceptions now though).
I cannot stand this new Webkinz X! I have not been able to get on my account since it began! I do not know what to do. It just keep loading and loading and loading. I tried everything. And I do not have an archived account.
@drusillablue: That’s either a bad internet connection, or your processor is very slow. (Which will happen on old computers, or just ones that aren’t taken care of. There isn’t much you can do about that unfortunaly. I know cuz untill we got this new computer, the other one wouldn’t work well no matter what we did, and that’s because my dad’s a Computer Tech.) Also, try the suggestions in the “Special Message” post in the Latest Newz column.
My computer is less than a year old, and pretty fast and so is my internet, and I keep it up to date and de-bugged; and I had log-in problems at first, and sometimes still do. drusillablue, if you use chrome, what finally got me in at all was finding my chrome plug-ins, clicking ‘details’ and checking the always run box on the flash plug-in. (Just want to add that real Webkinz ran just fine without this box ever being checked….)

Don’t worry, nothing on your account would work anyway. I have 3 accounts which every room is either missing objects or the ones remaining won’t load and I have sent several email to no avail. Alyssia doesn’t work, jumbleberry field logs you out when you fill your jars, not to mention your pets will need to eat every 30 seconds needs to have clothes changed 10 times or more a day, has to be put to bed every 30 minutes. I even adopted a new pet because I was running out of kinzcash to buy food, since our garden wasn’t working and the pet had to be put to bed before I could even get to the room it was in much less open my gifts. Oh by the way you only have 2 minutes to do this or your heart will drop drastically. So believe me when I say it will save you a lot of stress to have your accounts archived for a while. I wish mine were. I purchased all these estore points so I could do new rooms with the webkinz x but not can’t even find a room that is complete to know what I have. I am sad, as I love webkinz and wish they would fix these issues but it only seems to get worse. myshadow2010
Yeah I have sent at least 3 emails but one they didn’t even say they got it and the other two I haven’t heard from them about yet. It would be nice to know that they are actually reading and paying attention to our emails not just letting them be ignored or having nothing done about them.

For the past few days, I can’t even get into my account. It has never been archived, and the rest of my family can get in to their accounts on the same computer I’m using! Also, there was a while after they changed everything where I was able to get in and here is what I discovered- My pets are super demanding, and when I get them something they’ve asked for they say something like, “I knew you cared!” and if you don’t get it they go all pouty. They get hungry all the time, and most of my stuff from my dock is gone. Another thing about my pets- they call me by my first name, which makes me feel very awkward, I wish they would use my username instead. I know I’m not alone here, but it’s still frustrating! I loved Webkinz the way it was, but it would be easier to adjust to Webkinz X if it actually worked.
on my account i carn’t even have wishes on the wishing well with out my pet getting tired or any other game and same with the name part it kind of creepy
@myshadow2010 & @ EVERYBODY: You guys, try thinking about this: Webkinz X is like a beta test, meaning they want to to try it out, before everything is set in stone. Everything that you guys are complaining about has already been adressed, in the quite large main posts, at the top of the Latest Newz column. Your items are not GONE, and while yes, it is frustrating if you’re working on decorating rooms, it was something they Told You Would Happen AHEAD of Time. Nothing Happens at the snap of your fingers guys! If something is Worth Having, it is worth Working For, THAT’S what the Webkinz team is doing. Remember, they had to Re-Write the programming.
