Security Update: Password update required for all accounts

To ensure the security of all our player accounts, we have put in place a requirement that all players update their account password before logging into Webkinz World. Players will only have to do this once.

 

 

We have streamlined this process for you. When you log in with your current password, you will be given this prompt telling you to update your password:

 

 

You will be automatically taken to the Change Password:

 

 

Here you can simply enter your new password, and then again to confirm it and click Apply. You will then be taken right into Webkinz World to begin playing.

 

 

We are asking that all players use at least 8 characters for their passwords. We encourage players to use both numbers and letters in their password for added security.

 

 

 

 

 

UPDATE (04/24/2020): UPDATING YOUR PASSWORD ON MOBILE

 

  1. Open a web browser on your mobile device (e.g., Chrome or Safari)
  2. Go to webkinz.com
  3. Tap on the gray menu button (3 horizontal stacked lines) in the top right corner of the screen to open the menu
  4. Tap on “Change password” to go to the mobile Change password screen
  5. Follow the same steps listed in the article above

 

 

 

Remember, you will only have to do this once. The next time you log in, you will go right in. The security of our player accounts are of utmost importance to everyone at GANZ. We appreciate your patience with this inconvenience.

    I can’t get into webkinz from the webkinznewz link and webkinz.com since this change. Get a w and white screen. can play on desktop and firefox only.

    I had to go into my McAfee security settings because all my passwords were stored and automatically filled in. I just can’t understand why anyone would hack a kid’s game?

    Has anyone having trouble logging in shortly before this? When I use EDGE , screen comes up with puzzle piece and “adobe flash”, click on it, says “allow once”, and have to log in again. also when IE , it just freezes when you go to website and shows white screen and “W”

    I am having the same problem. My account has been not working Wed. I have had my account for a very long time. I feel that they should give up the capsules and our puzzle pcs as well. I have now missed all of this. My grandkids and I are on just about every day. This is so not fair. Not to mention I am a Deluxe Member as well.

      I agree the timing is terrible, and ganz needs to address this issue, too. It would create a lot of goodwill for the team to create another way to award the 5 new time capsules because so many players cannot get in right now, without having us wait til Webkinz’ 20th to see if they repeat the whole thing with 5 more then. Maybe a floating promotion here on the Newz? One capsule a day.

    i still have an account that says that the info is not correct when it is! I have already sent 2 emails. please help. the emails seem to not be doing anything. Now i am going to loose the deluxe challenge because i cannot get into that account. it is account 2twindog

    As required, I changed all my WW passwords. Still, I find this all very disturbing. Please forgive my ignorance of all things technological for this next question, but …. What’s to prevent this from happening again?

    Is anyone else having trouble with being able to place items into the blue storage box received in the time capsule? I’m having the same issue with the green hamper from the sweet sixteen theme. Every time I try to place clothing in either of them it says that item does not fit in here. But they are meant to hold clothing so i am confused. I’ve tried restarting my computer, logging out and back in multiple times but I get the same result. Is this a glitch, do I have to email Ganz about it?

    I used to have the same password for my Webkinz account as for my GanzWorld account, so I wanted to change this password, too. After I changed the password of my GanzWorld account yesterday I received an e-mail from noreply@ganzworld.com containing the password in plain text. This is a major security issue.
