Collect Acorns throughout September to win prizes you can use to build a retro basement for your pets to enjoy!
Here’s how it works: From September 1 – 30, look for the Acorn Collection icon on your Kinzville Map on the Webkinz Classic Desktop App, and click on it to see your collection. The icon will appear on the right side of your screen if you are playing on the browser version of Webkinz Classic:
You’ll get one free Acorn every day, just for clicking on the collection icon (Deluxe Members will get two free Acorns a day).
Once you have received your free Acorn, you can get five more throughout the day by asking your friends (by clicking the ASK FRIENDS button) or by finding and clicking on the floating Acorn on WebkinzNewz.com (make sure you collect your free one first before trying to find one on Webkinz Newz).
Need more friends to help you complete your collection? Click the ASK FRIENDS button, then click the NEED MORE FRIENDS? button to see other players looking for friends and add them to your Friends List.

Thisnis a great little theme package! And I love all the ideas other members have suggested. I was a kid in the 70s and teen in the 80s, and this looks like the basement hangout room we had. It does need some bean bags, and a retro console tv/stereo with record player. A macrame wall hanging would fit right in there too! Thanks, can’t wait to collect those acorns!
I am SO VERY excited that we all get to enjoy the fantastic wallpaper and flooring designed by tutortime100. I was hoping that we would somehow see this design again as I LOVE the stairs in the wallpaper. Congrats on having your design come to life in WW! With it being the 20 acorn prize, I have high hopes for earning at least 3 sets of wallpaper and flooring. I wish I had time to weed out my friends list because only about 20% of my list actually reply to collection event requests. Hopefully I can weed before November. It’s also cool that the checkers game launches from the coffee table. It won’t be difficult to find things to fill this basement as WW has released so many retro items over the years. I can easily see doing a “That 70′s Show” basement for starters. So many possibilities…

LOVE the prizes! What games does the Retro Arcade Unit play? Does it take us to the Webkinz Games site? That is how a couple of the older arcade units work. I just thought the Retro Arcade might be just for show, but does nothing. I’m hoping that’s not true. Love the Retro look of the room! Reminds me of growing up in the 70s! Would be nice if we had a retro looking pool table to match the room. Maybe a retro looking TV set? Combination retro Console set with TV and a Stereo that would play all the Webkinz Songs! Just some ideas! ;-) Well done, Ganz/Team Webkinz! I think this is the BEAT room created in a long while! Love it! :-)
I love this! I’m already finding wall decor – one of my accounts has a peace sign and I need to find my neon signs and light strings and extra arcade units – what fun!
Omg – and my rainbow dyed bean bag chairs and my giant stuffed bear that’s a bed. SO excited :-D
