We’re excited to give you a sneak peek of the next six pets to be added to the Pet Medallion menu! The new batch of Medallion pets includes some Webkinz Classics as well as a gorgeous Signature pet, the Signature Australian Shepherd!
Pet Medallions are a new way to adopt pets for FREE! You can earn Medallions by playing games in the Arcade – just look for the games with the red gift box – or as a Daily Gift award. In our last update we improved the odds of getting a Pet Medallion, and starting in August Deluxe Members will also receive Pet Medallions in their monthly Gift Box. PLUS we are replacing our Magic W floaty-clicky prize pool with Pet Medallions so you’ll have a chance to earn even more!
Pet Medallion pets come with their own PSI and PSF, but unlike regular pets, Medallion Pets do not extend your full membership.

I have been playing webkinz for almost 10 years, so I already have some of these pets. What would happen if I got it again?
The reason why more pets are being added is because during each update it’s becoming easier to win pet medallions. At one point when there aren’t any more ways to win them that can be added to the site, then they will stop adding more pets. Still there’s many more ways we could win them. Also, the odds of winning them still can be increased. So, it might be a few more months before Webkinz doesn’t make more pets available for medallions.
I hope during one of the pet medallion updates (maybe when there’s 36 or 48 pets available) that players will always be awarded a pet medallion when they get a high score in a game and that we will always get a pet medallion as a log-in gift. When that update comes I’m sure many Webkinz players will be very happy. Also, it will be nice when we can win pet medallions during today’s activities. Maybe that will come in the September update.
What about the buddies? They said they will be giving out free buddies on august 1.

I hope you will realize that the pet medallions should be handled like wish tokens, i.e. we accumulate a total amount which may be applied to any pet we choose of those available; otherwise, the comments above are correct that this is just an out of reach goal….my positive take-away is webkinz plans to be around at least another decade so that we may finally get one of these pets–yay!! k.

Please don’t add anymore pets! I was getting some medallions playing Atlantis, a game that I really enjoy. However, the other day, I completed all levels, with a score of over 18,000, got the trophy (yay) and a rug! All that work and no medallion? Way to make me give up on this promo!
I agree. By adding more pets, adopting a pet is going to be EXTREMELY tough. This lowers our chances of getting a medallion for a pet we’re close to adopting. I somewhat understand that this may be your point. You want people to have to really work for these free pets so they’ll continue buying them using E-Store Points or real money, but at least wait until we have a chance to get the ones currently available!
But I think it said you can convert medallions from one pet to another when you get enough – I think it was like 10 or something. So it may not be as bad ad it could be.
This is completely absurd. There should have been a handful of pets. With so many pets, and playing many games per day, the most I have is 4 medallions for one pet. Ganz needs to rethink this endeavor. I’ve given up. Challenging I like, absurdity I don’t. And I’m a grandmother. I have patience. What about the 6-10-year-old players. It’s just not fair to them.
