We’re excited to give you a sneak peek of the next six pets to be added to the Pet Medallion menu! The new batch of Medallion pets includes some Webkinz Classics as well as a gorgeous Signature pet, the Signature Australian Shepherd!
Pet Medallions are a new way to adopt pets for FREE! You can earn Medallions by playing games in the Arcade – just look for the games with the red gift box – or as a Daily Gift award. In our last update we improved the odds of getting a Pet Medallion, and starting in August Deluxe Members will also receive Pet Medallions in their monthly Gift Box. PLUS we are replacing our Magic W floaty-clicky prize pool with Pet Medallions so you’ll have a chance to earn even more!
Pet Medallion pets come with their own PSI and PSF, but unlike regular pets, Medallion Pets do not extend your full membership.

Dear Ganz – I have no desire to collect your pet medallions. I’m a grown up adult for goodness sakes. If I want a new pet I will buy one, not spend hundreds of hours spread over several years trying to win a free one. Now that the list of medallion pets has increased to 24, you have only created unobtainable goals for the majority of Webkinz players. I honestly don’t know what to think about this whole promotion. Are you trying to get us so invested in this activity that once we are so hooked on collecting medallions that you will then sell bundles of them in the Estore (for real $$, of course) ? No thank you. If I happen to get a medallion from the daily log in or a floating W, fine, but that’s all the collecting I will ever do. Count me out.
I’ve gotta echo these comments. Please don’t add anymore pets after this round. Collecting medallions should be a fun task – not a nearly impossible one. Thanks for listening.

Okay guys. I’m no mathematician, but I think I figured this out. Someone check my math! If you can manage the miracle of earning 2 pet medallions per day, you can earn one 200 point pet after 3 years. 2 medallions per day X 365 days = 730 medallions. If those medallions are spread pretty evenly over 24 pets, each pet could earn 30 medallions per year. You can trade those 30 medallions to the desired pet, giving the desired pet 3 extra medallions over a year. If your 24 pets with 30 medallions each give the same desired pet all their medallions over the course of a year, the desired pet can earn 69 medallions. + the 30 the already have, means 99 medallions per year. In two years, you are almost up to 200 medallions. Consider, however, the extreme difficulty in earning those medallions and the fact that you can’t play games for 5 hours a day every day. That means: in 3 years you can expect to earn one 200 point pet if you are lucky and persevere (as long as they don’t keep adding more pets!) Very dedicated players who are good at the games might earn a pet in 2 years. I have only been getting one medallion every few days, if that, so I’m realistically looking at double that – 6 years to earn one pet.
Thanks for doing the math on this! Really making it impossible for us to get a free pet. I’m pretty much giving up on this, but will wait until deluxe box comes out in August before making a decision.
I loved the medallion idea at first, but I’m not even interested in it anymore. And every time more pets get added to further dilute the possibility of anyone ever winning one, I just roll my eyes. What could have been a great challenge is just an absurdity IMO.
I know there are a lot of people complaining about ganz adding more pets but that’s the point. They added this feature to excite us over getting free pets but in the end it’s extremely difficult to get one. I love Webkinz but no I don’t think this is plausable to do.
No more added pets, please. You are making it impossible to actually earn one.

I’m not excited. Please don’t add more pets. Give us a chance to get enough medallions to get one of the existing pets. I really don’t want to be trading medallions. Ten for one is not a good trade. It means that instead of 100 medallions for a pet you need 1000. That is ridiculous. We’ll never get any pets if you keep this up.
I agree. There are too many pets now and a lot of them are not new ones. Not good at games and when I finished Cash Cow got nothing really.
Please, please, please, STOP adding more pets. We need to have a chance to actually get enough medallions for a pet, and the more pets there are the longer it will take.
