Ooooo la la! What a snazzy new set of wheels! I would love it if there was a way for two webbies to ride in a car at the same time. This car would be a perfect way to “arrive at the prom in style”!

I love this car but I’m not sure if I’ll be doing this challenge, especially since I just finished this month’s challenge. Why? Because of the tournament arena part of the challenge. I absolutely loathe the arena for one simple reason. The model challenge at least is computer selection driven and the program that determines what the “judges” like or dislike is so way out there random that it’s very nearly chaotic. My best examples are this. One the first day I tried the model challenges, no matter how I dressed the model I chose, no matter what outfit I chose, or how carefully I chose it, I found inevitably that I was the loser. And that was 8 different tries in one sitting. For me at least, I also discovered another proof, at least to me, of the chaotic randomness of the computer choices. I quickly found that every time I lost, my model was in the left hand part of the page and that every time I was on the left hand side, I inevitably lost. However, when I ended up on the RIGHT hand side of the page, I won. When I mentioned this to my husband, he noted that he too had seen this for himself and he takes care of his pets on his, completely separate computer. Making a part of the challenge to be down in the Tournament Arena is appalling since I have little indication that the other games are anything else but completely and utterly random choices by a computer program. I am not thrilled by any stretch of the imagination that for a second month in a row I will be forced to play a game there that is so random that it isn’t funny.

I agree! I have noticed the same things you have. no rhyme or reason. Glad I’m not the only one that thinks it’s not skill-related.

I don’t know about the model challenge, but I know there are certainly items and outfits that the judges favor, like the “w” jeans, but some of it is probably random. I do know that with the checkers game (this month’s challenge) the winner is determined the same way as a normal game of checkers! There’s no way a winner can be randomly chosen, it just depends on how good you are at the game :) The really random game would have to be the Chef Gazpacho one! Those recipes are totally crazy and you just choose foods at random! It’s just supposed to be fun and lighthearted <3 If you like the prize, you should definitely go for it!

Next time the SuperModelz is part of a challenge, play against your husband. Have him leave the slots empty, thereby throwing the game, until you win enough for the challenge. Then, you do the same for him until he completes enough for the challenge. I always challenge my own accounts instead of playing against other, random, players.

      • puppies4me says:

GREAT IDEA! That would be really fun to do regardless of the challenge. My Granddaughter and I play Arena game together from across town a lot. Some times we play SuperModelz, but try to make the most ridiculously absurd costumes, and to win, the judges have to vote against you. So, you win if you lose. LOL. We laugh a lot at that! Mostly playing against other players is fun if you have a sense of humor about the judging. BUT it’s NOT FUNNY when you win at a game, like SuperModelz, and WHEN YOU WIN, the other player WON’T HIT THE “NEXT” BUTTON at the end of the game. Then you’re left there waiting…waiting…until you figure you’ve wasted enough time and exit. THEN, THEY HAVE WON!!!! Seriously, I’m going to start keeping track of who I play, and if this keeps happening to me, I’m going report them somehow. That is really uncalled for, unsportsmanlike, & definitely “un-Webkinz-like”!

        • puppies4me says:

HAHA. I didn’t 2WedMomz comment closely. You could do it that way, or actually challenge each to a showdown!

        • dixiecup says:

I have noticed this a lot and I think it is the height of rudeness. I have no qualms about staying behind and playing until I know that the player has reached their goal and I will go back for a rematch for however long it takes, but I will not abide rudeness! I DO have a list of players who routinely scam the system this way and I watch for them when I am playing as well. It is very unsportsmanlike conduct and I would never do that to anyone unless my computer crashed.

      • Davids1lilpixie says:

LOL! I never thought of that! I will remember this and tell him about this solution. I wonder if it would work with the checkers challenge? Lol frankly, I stink at checkers and chess both, terrible strategist!

    • FoxesRule612 says:

Checkers involves strategy. Next month’s challenge doesn’t involve random selection. Besides that SuperModelz is a super easy game to win, even if you don’t the first few tries.

    • Alphaowlbear says:

I always choose a host player, like Ms. Birdy or Arte when I have to play checkers in the tournament arena for a challenge. They are easier to beat than a real life opponent. Sheldon Turtle is kind of bad at checkers. That is an interesting observation about the Supermodels game. I never play it unless I absolutely have to, but I think I’ll play a couple games to see about the left/right side favoritism. I do know the judges really like the cat, elephant and lion animal costume hats.

    • dixiecup says:

I don’t know which game you think is random for this challenge? Checkers is a game of skill. You have to think ahead of your opponent, even if it is AI, you can still beat the computer. I always duck out if I am not the first (that may make me a poor sport, but if I am playing against the NPC Hosts, no one is getting hurt). I will stick around even if I am losing because, who knows, I may be playing against the Checkers Queen WI-50ish. LOL and I don’t mind being beaten by the best.

      • dixiecup says:

I meant I will stick around if I am playing against one of my friends or a random requested player.

      • Davids1lilpixie says:

It’s still an entirely randomized program. Actually my husband is the one who pointed it out to me after losing 8 times in a row. Lol I trust him at his word since he is the one who builds and repairs computers, puts together web pages and has a degree in computer programming. :-)

    • dixiecup says:

OH and one more thing!! In the Super models game, you CAN increase your odds. Play the game more often. The hosts are consistent about the articles of clothing they like. For instance, I noticed that Captain Dogbeard likes anything button down. I also noticed that where your bonus judge is? Select all of the clothing choices under them, it’s a sure win … just stuff I caught on to.

I absolutely love this Chrome Sparkle car! And the very classy addition of the gold accents makes it just that much more desirable! I am glad to see that Ganz is getting back to awarding deluxe members “golden” prizes. I don’t think we need a gold prize every month but maybe every other month would be great. I remember when every month was gold and some of the gold items got a bit tacky in my opinion. So much nicer now! Loved the suit last month, or was it the month before? whatever…. it was classy. And now this car!! Thanks Ganz , can’t wait to earn it. …. and it will be earning since I really do not like checkers and it will be a big struggle to try to win 3 games! lol… good thing you give us a whole month. Good luck everyone! and don’t give up bubbashuka ….. play a little each day and before you know it you will have earned the car!!

  4. bubbashuka says:

I will probably be skipping this one. :( I don’t like checkers AND color storm is my least favorite game in the Arcade! Too bad, this is a beautiful car. I’ll probably ask on the forums…

    • webkinz04 says:

Same but bubbashuka! My sister and I hate color storm and try to avoid that game at all costs!

        • puppies4me says:

bubbashuka, I learned a while ago not to get stressed over challenges with games that I hate. Like ANT MANIA!!!! But where’s the fun of giving up, if I want the prize? I will play a little each day, and if it’s getting too close to the deadline, I’ll make a cup of tea (or a pot of tea) put on some music, or a familiar TV show, get myself in the mood, and just play over and over again till I get there. (It may take me 50 games, but I know that going into it & after all it is supposed to be a “challenge”, so I’m cool with it!) Like my Dad would always say, “don’t sweat the small stuff.”

        • Alphaowlbear says:

Don’t skip the challenge bubbashuka! That car is so pretty. You can do it! We have a whole month to earn the 250 in Colorstorm – just play a game a day and the cash will add up. Choose a host player to play checkers against because I think they are easier to beat. Sheldon Turtle is kind of bad at checkers. Best of luck to you and everyone! :-)

          • Alphaowlbear says:

If you see that I’m logged on when you are, invite me to play checkers :-) I’m your friend alphacat!

    • GoGanz24 says:

Skipping it is kind of wasting your money. You paid to be deluxe; and now you’re not going to use your deluxe.

    • dixiecup says:

Oh I wish I could play it for you!! I do so enjoy the colorstorm game! I excel in this game, so this challenge will be a clean sweep for me. Checkers is really easy, too. It’s a quick game and if you play a few games you can develop your own strategy very quickly. Playing against the hosts is an easy win, they seem to be less competitive. Try a few practice games until you develop your own strategy and you will see. With Colorstorm, try and make sequences of 6 or seven, this eliminates all of that color and sometimes it drops a huge amount of the other colors attached to it, it will give you a higher score and save you from getting boxed in. You can also get really helpful hints about both games if you go to one of the fansites and check out their help sections on these games.
