Sneak Peek: Voice Control in Webkinz Next



A new feature in Next will allow you to control parts of the app with spoken command. Voice Control can be used to navigate through Kinzville, initiate Text Chat and interact with our Help Section.




In an upcoming release, a new mic button will be added to the side of the screen. To use Voice Control click the mic button and speak one of three commands:


“Say”–initiates Type Chat. For example, “Say, hello,” will type the word “hello” into your chat field.


“Go To”–used for navigation. For example, “Go to, Kinzville,” will send your pet to Kinzville. “Go, Home,” will move your pet home.


To access the Help Section, speak any question into the mic.


Our Help Section has also been equipped with text-to-speech technology. The answers to all of your questions will be read aloud upon retrieval.

    I love the type chat feature! I can never type what I want to say fast enough or without mistakes when I am trying to have a conversation!

    Lol so the irony is that Ganz is able to put this in but is unwilling or unable to fix the massive glitch in Peek-a-Newz. It’s been over a month since I’ve actually gotten anything from the Peek-a-Newz and amazingly enough, even though I sign in each and every morning, the Peek-a-Newz site insists that I’m not signed in. Won’t this be peachy and helpful when I’m collecting clicky floaty acorns for a challenge that I’ll never recieve. :(

      You need to contact Ganz tech support. The glitch has been fixed for most of us; sounds like something with your account.

        Actually it’s not my account. I’ve encountered this problem on 3 different computers, tried four different internet browsers and made sure all my history, internet cache and computer were cleaned out. Nothing works. I find it not unsurprising considering that I found, on Reddit, that this problem goes back as far as 2020 and finally realized that Peek-a-Newz itself says that I need to sign in when I already have. Sigh, on three different computers, mine, my husband’s and my laptop. And yet, this problem has not struck his account. Though I will add, when this problem struck all of us some months back and then cleared up, we both had the problem and while he got his back, I did not. I simply wish that they’d admit there’s a problem and have done. :(

        Yes, it was. For some customers. My husband for example and his account. But mine? Not so much :(. And I’m not the only one. This problem has struck before, back in 2020.

    dear sally/other w. rep: may you please check out why we cannot trade the strawberry capsule’s strawberry sundress? THIS WAS THE LAST MONEY I WILL SPEND ON CAPSULES if this cannot be remedied. thank you very much & best, k.

      Strawberry sun hat is also not tradable. In the past, the stardust wardrobe was not tradable, and neither was the sunroom window. It may be intentional on their end to have one or two things from each season to not be tradable but I’m only speculating.
