Steve Webkinz here, reporting on the return of Pet Buddies to your pet’s room!
Since the launch of Webkinz X, players have only been able to see Pet Buddies paired with their pets in the Clubhouse and in the Coral Cove room on Vacation Island (because it uses the same room programming as the Clubhouse).
Our latest update has now returned the Pet Buddies to the pet room on both the web AND mobile app versions of Webkinz!
To pair a buddy with your pet, just open the Dress Your Pet window. You’ll find any unpaired Pet Buddies in the clothing section of your Dock under their own sub-tab. They can be added to a pet the same way as a piece of clothing—by dragging one from your Dock to the Dress Your Pet window.
To remove a Pet Buddy, either drag it away from the window or add a different Pet Buddy to swap it. The swap feature also works by dragging and dropping directly into the room, or by dragging the Pet Buddy to your pet’s portrait.
If a Pet Buddy is already paired with a pet, you can find them easily by opening up My Pets. Any paired Pet Buddies will appear in the Pet Dock right above their heart. You can also see a larger version of the Pet Buddy when you preview the pet. Click or tap on the previewed pet and Pet Buddy to rotate them just like in the Dress Your Pet window.
Pet Buddies can still also be viewed in the Clubhouse and Coral Cove, but we’ve now removed the old Pet Buddy button that was there. If you want to switch the Pet Buddy paired with your pet, you’ll need to do it before you arrive at the Clubhouse.
Pet Buddies are also extra fun to interact with! Just click/ tap on one in the room or on the pet portrait to see how they react!

Please note that Pet Buddies are currently not available in the Kinzville Park, Adventure Park, or on the Map of Kinzville (because each uses their own unique room programming), but stay tuned to Webkinz Newz to be the first to know about any new updates!

Hi Steve: We were overjoyed to see the daily activities have the hourly events changed to all day. Can we have this back? Many of us were actually spending and enjoying more time in WW, had less stress trying to catch an hourly event, and doing activities we use to ignore. The kids were thrilled to be able to do the late hour events before bed. Please change it back. Do you need something from us to do this? Give us a challenge! You know we are already awesome players but let us prove it again with the chance to get the activities back to all day. Happy, stress-free players are much better than being a bunch of grumpy cats!

Pet Buddies – thank you for the surprise buddies that were found in some of our accounts. They are so fun to play with. I did buy the ghost buddy in the estore and he’s become my favourite one!

I agree! I was quite thrilled when I say that the activities were changed to being all-day instead of hourly… it was much less stressful knowing that I could log on and do them all at once, as opposed to having to wait. Plus, I’ve been pretty busy as of late, and haven’t had nearly as much time to go on Webkinz as I would like… usually, I’m lucky to even be on for an hour. I do hope they consider changing it back at some point

Please change it back to all day events. It was so nice just play and go in all my rooms and re-arrange and play at my leisure.

Ah, that’s good to know! I didn’t know that reason why the pet buddies (after Webkinz X) only worked in the clubhouse and coral cove due to the programming…. I am glad, though, that they were able to fix everything and bring them back to our rooms!! :) I hope someday that they can be added to the Kinzville park… it’s my favorite place in Webkinz world to hang out with friends, and I’d love to show them my pet buddies! Also, I really love the new interaction feature…. it’s so cute hearing my zums giggle or see my Cinder buddy waving at me! ^-^
Because of the Pet Buddy programming, I was able to locate my Lion Costume! I don’t know if it has anything to do with it, but I was overjoyed to find a whole pile of outfits I thought were long lost.could you possibly explain where your costumes/outfits go when your Deluxe membership lapses? I thought I’d lost them many years ago on my tertiary accounts (when we used to be able to do 4 family accounts for a lesser price).
They don’t go anywhere — they stay in the slots on the pet they were associated with. However, if you open the Dress Your Pet interface on the pet that has those clothing items, they will be returned to your dock.
Why does the panda pet buddy float?
I still haven’t found my Panda and Cinder . I did write and no one has found them !!
Have you opened up My Pets and looked through all your pets? They are likely attached to pets.
It’s awesome that you’ve returned pet buddies for those who like them. But I do not and how do I remove them from my already crowded dock? I can’t believe I’m the only one that doesn’t want them. You can’t store them anywhere and so they just have to sit in the dock. Thanks!
I do not want them either, they just clutter up my dock. I would be happy to give them away or sell them for Kinzcash.

In the EStore at Halloween there are SEVERAL different ghosts . Can we get them into pet buddies . The Dog Beard is awesome and the Castle corner ghost and the Wishing Well ghosts are so SWEET. But the ZUM Ghosts in the ELEVATOR and celler Zum Ghosts are cool also ! Maybe a black cat and a puppy would be cool also like a familiar . But a LIL BLUEBIRD for on my shoulder would brighten the day or butterflys like the floor tile butterfly’s
Your pets at the campsite . What is the name of the fire pit Where can it be found ? Is it a PSI ?
The campfire is the one in Kinzville Park. It is probably a prize for collecting trash in the park.
Steve-We have been hearing about being able to sell rooms and maybe move or remove doors in the rooms for a long time. Is this in the future for us? Please?? Thanks, kinzwars

Deleting rooms is a planned part of the future, but until it goes into production I can’t say when.
Just knowing it will happen someday is sooo.. exciting!! I play to buy a pet for every room once I can get rid of all those rooms I don’t want!! Thanks.
