Hi everyone, Steve Webkinz here. In today’s special report, I’m going to take a look at growing gardens in your yard.
For those who’ve been playing in Webkinz World for a while, you’ll know that you can find seed packets in the WShop under the Fun Stuff category.
Once you drag and drop your seeds into either an outdoor or treetop room, unlike before, you’ll no longer need to maintain them before they’re ready for harvest. After enough days have passed, you’ll see your plants are ready.
Click on them to send the grown food to your Dock. The harvested plant will return to its initial growth state and start the clock on growing again.
*Technical note: You can move Growing Garden items around a room at any time without affecting their growth timeline, but if you remove it from the room by sending it back to the Dock, it will be reset.
Plants will remain ready for harvest until you click on them and will never rot. Harvested food can either be fed to your pet or sold back to the WShop for KinzCash. Becoming a Webkinz farmer is a great way to earn lots of KinzCash!

If you want us to garden more in Webkinz World, then you need to give us more normal type vegetable seeds in the WShop (KinzCash only!). I love the other seeds like “Sushi” and “ice cream”, etc, but you have to either win them or buy them using ePoints or Deluxe. I’m hoping that the cucumber seeds will be available in the WShop (for KC!) soon. How about having potato seeds, yellow squash, blueberries, spring onions, and other veggies you can buy in a real grocery store. Also, could you please update this report? You said, “Most Growing Garden seeds in the WShop available for eStore points take 7 days before they’re ready for harvest.” Of the seven packages of seeds shown, only TWO are grown in seven days. TWO does not mean “Most”. MOST would be if five of the seven seeds were ready for harvest in seven days. Perhaps you guys could “speed” up the growing time? Nothing should take more than 4 or 5 days to grow. When you are a “Free” or new “Full” member, if you try and grow food for your starving pet, it’s really hard. “Free” members can’t even buy an outside yard to grow veggies, besides the fact that it takes so long to grow the veggies. I use to play a farming game on my iPad that wasn’t nearly as nice as Webkinz, but they had awesome seeds for their gardens. They grew to harvest within a 24 hour period. Nothing died. You could harvest them, used them to make pies, bread, jam, etc, or sell them. Wish Webkinz could do something like this!
Hi ~alucard. I count nine estore seeds shown above, and the picture shows that there is a second page, so that would mean even more estore seeds. I don’t have any of them except the sushi which I won years ago. I never paid attention to how long that takes to harvest, and I don’t have any experience with the others. Maybe most of them do ripen within 7 days. Maybe Steve Webkinz could do a report on just estore seeds – what’s available, harvest times, and resale values, and maybe even hunger boosts. I really like how it seems that the team has been striving to increase fruit and veggie variety lately. Maybe, in time, they will add some of your awesome food suggestions. I have two pets on my second account, which is a full membership account, and I have more food than I know what to do with. I only have the big boost veggies planted – cabbage, pumpkins and watermelons. It is easy to keep my pets fed and still have plenty left over.
For those who are interested in hunger meter boost values, here are each of the farm fresh foods that can be bought for KC or won. Carrots-15; cabbage-32; corn-15; green apple-12; hot pepper-8; pumpkin-25; red delicious apple-12; snow peas-8; strawberries-8; tomato-8; watermelon-25. If I missed any, please kindly let me know. As I mentioned above, I don’t know the boost values of the farm fresh estore fruits and veggies.
The 7 shown that actually say how long they take aren’t estore points ones. They are the kinzcash ones. The ones for estore points aren’t listed how many days any of them take. Also there are definitely more than 9 for estore points. Anyways I do agree that more seeds should be made available for kinzcash. I really want more variety to grow. I can barely wait for when we can click on the leaves. Having 3 kinds of seeds possible to collect from them I’m hoping to get lots of each.
Thank you, Snowlico! :-) I wish they would make more of the seeds available for KinzCash, too. And a larger variety of seeds, like more normal veggies, would be nice, and maybe add some tree seeds for KinzCash, too! :-)
Hello, your ideas sound great. I hope someone at Webkinz World is reading your post. I would like apple tree seeds in the WShop. I have many apple tree seeds I won but no golden delicious apple tree seeds.

Farming is great for feeding a large family but harvesting can take a lot of time! I’d really like some kind of ‘harvest all’ option.
The “harvest all” option sounds great. I have a large garden and it takes a lot of clicking to harvest.
YES! that would be wonderful.
I’d love a “Harvest All” option, too! I use to play a game on my iPad, can’t remember the name, but it had a “harvest all” button, which really made gardening easier. They had huge selection of seeds based on real veggies. All priced within reason. You could even used them to make pies, breads, and jams. It was a fun game, but basically all you did was farm. Not as much fun as Webkinz! :-)

Nothing new, Steve is just reporting on farming in WW. However, if you are a new player, you used to have to ‘rake then water’ each individual plant, then wait days/week or so for them to grow. Harvesting them was by ‘digging’ them and each plant could give 1 or multiples of that plant. It was a lot (a lot) of work back then.
I actually don’t miss they. There were so many times that I would get busy and not be able to get back to my crops in time. It broke my heart when they would go bad. I realize that we only get one at a time, but with a large garden I still get a good ‘harvest’. I must say that I really do like the fun seeds like the Sushi, Doughnut, Sundae, Caramel Apple, Candy Cane and Marshmallow. I did notice that any of the recipes that call for Marshmallow will not accept the Garden ones only the W-Shop ones. It was disappointing at first, but I can sell my Garden ones in order to buy the W-Shop ones so it works out in the end. I uses my Orchard pumpkins for a ‘cash crop’ so I’m in good shape anyway. I have been know to spend an hour or more just ‘cooking’ because it’s fun. It is also a good way to be able to do something useful when waiting for ‘floaties’.
Forgot to add, if you didn’t dig them up in time, they would wilt and die and you would have to replant them. Digging in time would save replanting and they’d start their growing cycle again.
My sister has an entire outside room FULL of plants! She got so rich doing that, but it takes FOREVER to harvest it all. XD
SO SICK and tired of the new AD’s blocking dock so I cant see and TRADE !! NO it doesn’t lower when (X) is clicked just ruins a good day makes life just that much harder for folks. I come to destress here!!
That is why I use Avast Secure Browser. You won’t have that problem there.
Gernot, I have Avast Secure Browser, too. No problems with annoying ads! Personally, I don’t mind the ads on the right side of the screen. I majorly dislike the ones that show up on top of your room and you HAVE to watch them! This does not count in the “Watch & Win” room. Those I don’t mind, as you are getting KinzCash in return, and it’s in a central location where you can decide if you want to watch them or not. Being forced to watch ads could discourage people from playing on Webkinz. Specially for children. Plus, I won’t buy those products, as I am sick of the ads.
Yes ~tinygma! I have a second account that is a full membership account, not deluxe, and it is virtually crippled because I can’t access anything in my dock. You are correct that multiple clicks on the “x” do not make it go away. My pets can’t be fed, and if they have a pet request that requires trying on a piece of clothing or eating a specific food they are out of luck because there is a big ad bar in the way. There is nothing to do but log out and leave my pets hungry and disappointed. Ganz might want to rethink the placement of this aggressive ad bar. With the opening of more games in the arcade, I thought that it would make it much easier to convince new players to join, but until this ad bar is resolved, I am not going to bother. I can’t use and enjoy my full account, and I can’t even imagine what it must be like for free players. Please rethink this new restriction Ganz team.
This is happening to me, too! As annoying as it is, I am so grateful to hear that it’s not just me or my computer! So, maybe we can get some help? Thanks for sharing….
sorry I some how hit reply accidently, any way, when I feed Farm Fresh to pets the boost my pet’s hunger score EXCEPT for Strawberries and Tomatoes. Has anyne else noticed this?
I have not noticed that, but I have noticed that none of the food offers the same amount of boost each time. At least, that is how it is in my accounts.
I have noticed that Raina2002 It actually takes the boost level down when I feed them tomatoes or strawberries. I started to replace them with other fruit or veggies.
Two Things: 1)On the deluxe wheel, when you win the Apple Farmers satchel, it says Green Apple tree seeds. (I would rather have the seeds lol) 2) Whenever I feed Farm Fresh veggies or fruits to my pets

thanks for all the great info! I would LOVE a feature when selling in the WShop to be able to type in a quantity numeric value of how many items to sell! Would help with selling crops for sure, but also useful for those other items that tend to collect in numbers (wheel prizes, other game prizes, forest candies, etc)
Many of us have been begging for that (and multi-harvest capability) basically since the beginning, and always falls on deaf ears apparently. That said, if you fill the entire sell ‘cart’ (OY speaking if that deaf ears of ganz thing, pretty sure about as many of us have been begging for the option to fill a ‘cart’ with things we are buying to RETURN, instead of this one item at a time nonsense, as well as what a pain it is to use coupons now!!!) — anyway, yes, fill the ‘cart’ and then repeatedly hit ‘sell items’ a lot of times at once. Sometimes it doesn’t work…sometimes it does more than other times…but if you hit it enough in the window of opportunity, it can take out as many as 100 items at a time. You can just watch it kind of roll over by 12 time after time, then repeat when it stops. WARNING::: Be very careful with this, if you are selling things you want to keep some of. The entire reason I discovered this was a Thing is because I was trying to sell just a couple of something once and my computer was acting out, and and I hit the sell key a few times….and managed to sell stuff I did not want to lose.
FYI The Wheel of Deluxe seems to have a glitch. It’s happened twice now, you spin it and it just keeps spinning, it doesn’t stop, you have to exit out or try spinning it again, and of course it informs you that you’ve already had your try. But you don’t get the prize, regardless.
