Steve Webkinz here, reporting on some fantastic improvements to the bath and sink activities!
For those who don’t already know, baths and sinks in your pet’s room are a fun way to keep your pet looking and feeling great! Once you add one to a room, just click on it to help your pet get started!
If you’ve already been enjoying the Webkinz mobile app, you are probably familiar with some of the previous updates to the bath activity. But now we’ve made some further improvements and brought everything into the web version of Webkinz!
Unlike the previous mobile version, this new update will show the actual bath tub your pet is sitting in. It will also improve the way you use the shampoo, soap and sponge when cleaning your pet. Playing with the bubbles will also once again be lots of fun!
The sink activity hasn’t been active on the Webkinz mobile app before, and now this new and improved version will be available on both web and mobile!
Like the bath activity, sinks will feature an updated new look with improvements for using the hair brush, toothbrush and face cloth! And don’t forget have a little fun bursting all of those bubbles!
Don’t forget—you’ll earn Family Score every day for each pet that you groom or bathe, while also helping to boost their Happiness and Energy!
The new bath and sink activities are available now on Webkinz.com and will be coming to mobile after our next app update.

I have made this suggestion several times via letters to podkinz and Fiona Feathers and Plumpy as well as to the offices of Ganz, to no avail. I would really really like to be able to turn my pet so that when I brush it’s hair I am not brushing it’s face!! And now with the wonderful new wigs with long hair it would be nice to be able to brush the back of them to keep them nice and neat and tidy. Steve…. any chance that we will be able to brush the back of the head instead of the face in the near future?
We will look into being able to brush all over the front of the pet in a future update, but we wouldn’t be able to show the brush behind the pet because you wouldn’t be able to see the hairbrush. We also can’t turn the pet around because the pet portrait is a 2D piece of art and it would requiring re-drawing the backs of every pet on the site.
Can we floss our pets in the future too LOL!!! JK…
My dentist always asks our family how often we floss and we’re like hmmm…
You know I am totally kidding, just trying to make you laugh! Truthfully I think the update is great!!!
When I tried to get one of my family score prizes it didn’t show up in my dock. I wonder if there could be a tab or sub-tab just for family score items.
If it was the Kinzville Valley Home, it wouldn’t appear in your Dock as it goes on your Map of Kinzville. Check the stored items to the right of your Map of Kinzville and you’ll find it there.
hey sieve, how do you have colored text and your cute monkey sticker on here? Is it possible for everyone to have this?
Currently only administrators can use html commands to use a photo avatar or colored text. It helps everyone see when we’ve replied to someone!
I miss the huge piles of bubbles and sneezing!
Yes, I was surprised last week when I put my pet in the bath and it looked so great, I was like “oooh this is cool, much better”. I’m glad it’s coming to the mobile app too, that will help with our family scores.
Sorry, but I really don’t like the bath and sink update. It was more fun and cuter the old way AND more realistic. :(
I have to agree, bubbashuka. This is one of those updates I really wonder about. Why was this more important than using the resources to fix the items that still don’t work after two and a half years? There was nothing wrong with the existing sinks/baths, in fact, they were great. I don’t get it…
The sink activity needed to be updated to get it working on mobile, which will be the future version of Webkinz once Flash Player in we browsers is discontinued. There were also several usability issues with baths and sinks that were corrected.
does this mean we wont be able to play on our desk top? Im confused
There will be a version of the mobile app which can be downloaded onto your desktop or laptop computer,

Oh. I see. So, basically everything in Webkinz World is now going to have to be updated (if it hasn’t been already) to make it work on mobile/the new app? The thing is, the newly updated baths are not working properly, knock you out of the program, etc. Good luck with getting it all updated/working again.
Yeah, I kind of agree.. it’s mostly just sad to see another old part of the game gone.

Nice article, Steve! I love the improvements that have been made to the sink and bath functions; I’ve noticed it’a made grooming time go a little more smoothly and efficiently. Also, I’ve been enjoying all the new comments my pets have during their grooming time—-too cute. (I always love it when my pets have new things to ‘say’!)
Can you tell us if the Curio Shop and Daily Activities will be available on the App? It would be nice to be able to do everything Webkinz via the App someday. :)
