Special Report – With Steve Webkinz!

Steve Webkinz here, reporting on some fantastic improvements to the bath and sink activities!

For those who don’t already know, baths and sinks in your pet’s room are a fun way to keep your pet looking and feeling great! Once you add one to a room, just click on it to help your pet get started!

If you’ve already been enjoying the Webkinz mobile app, you are probably familiar with some of the previous updates to the bath activity. But now we’ve made some further improvements and brought everything into the web version of Webkinz!

Unlike the previous mobile version, this new update will show the actual bath tub your pet is sitting in. It will also improve the way you use the shampoo, soap and sponge when cleaning your pet. Playing with the bubbles will also once again be lots of fun!

The sink activity hasn’t been active on the Webkinz mobile app before, and now this new and improved version will be available on both web and mobile!

Like the bath activity, sinks will feature an updated new look with improvements for using the hair brush, toothbrush and face cloth! And don’t forget have a little fun bursting all of those bubbles!

Don’t forget—you’ll earn Family Score every day for each pet that you groom or bathe, while also helping to boost their Happiness and Energy!

The new bath and sink activities are available now on Webkinz.com and will be coming to mobile after our next app update.

This has been Steve Webkinz reporting for Webkinz Newz! What would you like me to report on next? Let me know in the comments below.

Giving my pets a bath now is harder then it use to be. I have to close out just to log back in to finish giving them their bath. the page frezzes on me. :(

OK, this is kind of cool for me. Either way, as long as it keeps working. We sure don’t want stinky pets! LOL!

As, what you might call, a collector of Webkinz bathtubs, I see those blue plaid curtains as a decorating disaster! They don’t coordinate with ANY bathtubs, except maybe the generic white one in Steve’s report. If Webkinz designers felt compelled (why?) to add curtains to bathtubs, unobtrusive clear ones would have been much more appropriate. Blue plaid curtains are NOT acceptable with my lovely Enchanted Elves bathtub; Ohh La LA bathtub; Ancient Civilization bathtub; Coconut Milk Bath; my Bichon Frise PSI White Fluffy Bubble Bath (just to name a very few) or really any room-themed or PSI bathtub.

SUGGESTION – SHOWERS TUBs cover or DARKEN the point counter at the top of screen . DO NOT COVER this area let us see points add up !!

I can’t log in to the Webkinz mobile app, I’m on android, and I have tried deleting and re-installing the app, but it still doesn’t work.

Can you please fix the Frosty Snow Making Machine in time for the holidays? I loved to see the snowflakes flying in my room! Now, it does not work when you click on it, and it seems like a wasted Pet of The Month Exclusive gift. Thanks!

  7. cacogirl says:

TOO BAD, I loved the old way the bathtubs appeared – without the striped curtains. The curtains really detract from the tub design – especially my fancy spa tubs etc.

  8. BlackBeauty says:

this is pretty nice, but it was still cool both ways.

  9. bubbleteapot says:

The sinks and tubs are sort of cute, but I really dislike that on the last update you seriously reduced the fill-up value of most fruits and vegetables. I think you really missed the ball on this one. You could be teaching kids that fruits and vegetables are a good snack, but now they are almost useless for filling up pets. It already took a lot of food to keep them happy; the amount of food it now takes is completely unrealistic.

    • Steve Webkinz says:

It’s less realistic that eating a carrot, an apple or a handful of almonds would fill up your pet the same way that eating a plate of spaghetti or a hamburger would. It was only the hunger value that was reduced, and not on every ingredient item in the WShop. Big meal items will still fill up your pet’s hunger meter faster.

      • bizzzou says:

Steve Webkinz, it’s not realistic that you can feed eggs your chickens, or hamburgers to your cows, or hot dogs to your bunnies, but you can, and I hope that doesn’t change, because it would be inconvenient, just like this is. Please, can Webkinz only make helpful updates instead?

      • puppies4me says:

No kidding, Steve Webkinz. If that’s the rationale behind the hunger meter, than revamping that that concept would be a great “New Year’s Resolution” for Webkinz! Eating a “super-sized” meal of fat & cholestrol & unknown non-nutritional filler (yes, “filler”, LOL) ingredients from a fast food drive-through will “fill” someone up faster than cooking an actual nutritious meal using whole foods. It will not only fill up their stomach (and their clothing) but also their arteries, liver, kidneys…. Oh my goodness. I feel a soap-box delivery coming on, so that’s all I have to say about eating properly for strong bodies and minds; for development of healthy bones, muscles & organs; for strength, energy & flexibility; for mental alertness and clarity of thinking, for the ability to process information, learn and retain knowledge; for a more stable moods, emotional well-being and resonable responses to stress; and to help ward of high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, heart attack, stroke, dementia……. Oh my, I think I will just turn off my computer now, go eat a handful of almonds and a banana; and feel energized and motivated to go outside and play catch with my grandson. Nothing personal Steve, but good luck with that plate-full.

      • BlackBeauty says:

Yeah Steve, you are so right!

      • GoGanz24 says:

You reduced the Farm Fresh Pumpkins and Farm Fresh Watermelons as well. They eat the ENTIRE pumpkin and watermelon. Those should fill them up way more than a single meal food.

      • ferretfuzzbut says:

Boy you guys are sure pushing the burgers and spaghetti. Every time someone complains about the food values the answer is always to feed them burgers and spaghetti. How about tacos, shrimp and sushi too!!!!! Me, I don’t really worry about keeping them full. I keep them sleeping so I can play games and they don’t bug me with requests or yawns. When i am decorating I feed that pet if I am moving from room to room but I try to keep it to a minimum. This particular feature of the “new” webkinz has never been something I cared about. I can still play the game even if their hearts are empty. The requests bother me, espcially the “I’m bored…”. If I ever even THOUGHT about saying that to my mom I would get a list of chores to last me a week.

      • obie987 says:

I agree with bubbleteapot. I can see if it was broiled fish or grilled chicken but really spaghetti and hamburgers. We can grow our own food so we don’t waste our Webkinz cash on food. So we are teaching children to reduce their carbon footprint, eat healthy, spend their money wisely and enjoy the out doors

    • bizzzou says:

I quite agree, bubbleteapot. It made me really upset! I did some experiments that day, trying to find the half decent alternative to apples (because apples are useless now). Try feeding your pets eggs. WWID: bizzzou
