    I wanted to ask… should the game be asking to access my Web camera?? My security program says webkinz is asking to aces it everytime I open the ww app. This is something new. I’ve never seen it before.so I put a piece of black tape over my camera just in case. Is that a normal request, or not?

      Can you be more specific? Are you opening your browser, the Desktop App or the mobile app? The game does not use the camera so shouldn’t be requesting access.

        The desktop app. It’s requesting it. My Norton Antivirus pops up and says webkinz is requesting camera access.

          Not on mobile. And I haven’t used the browser for ww since I put the desktop app on. Works much better then the browser did for me.

            And today I couldn’t log in unless I changed my password. Is that something webkinz is requesting?

            And thanks Sally, I kinda figured something wasn’t right, which is why I covered my cameras. I wasnt truly worried as I only use this laptop for webkinz and nothing else. Thanks again for answering right away!

          Can you take a screenshot of it? Hit the print screen button on your keyboard and paste into an email — please send it to webkinzsupport@ganz.com. Put “Desktop App Norton” in the title.

            If it happens again I will try to remember to do that for you. Thing is, it pops up in a little box bottom right, then dissappear pretty quick, not sure I’ll be able to capture it.

    Ganz, on another website where I use the same username and password(Spotify), I received an email this morning that someone from Malaysia logged into my account…. I don’t know for sure that it’s connected to the data breach, but it sure seems like it to me. I changed the password now and it’s a free account haven’t used in years… but still concerning. I urge everyone to change their passwords on any sites where they use the same user & password. :/

      Hackers are aware that many people use the same username and password for every website they use. That’s proably why webkinz systems were hacked. The hacker didn’t want acess to webkinz accounts, they wanted acess to other accounts such as social media accounts. I changed my webkinz password to be safe and changed my password to other websites too.

    It will be great when Ganz gets their servers in order. The recent avalanche of glitches, freezes, error messages etc. probably has nothing to do with this security issue, but please get things up to speed again, Ganz. You were doing so well.

      I agree. Things seemed to be going well until last update. Now we are back to “bad gateway” freezing, clubhouse/park issues and being disconnected. Hopefully this will all get fixed again.

        Yes, all of that. Using the app was supposed to fix all that & for awhile, for the most part, it did. I assume the recent issues have to do with insufficient servers for the increased traffic on their site due to everyone being home on their computers. But this has been going on for 2 months now, so…

    I’ve won the game Altantis a few times now. Completed level 8. I’ve never received a trophy. Any ideas on why or do I need to do something else?

    I keep getting that on WKN now and I wasn’t sure if it was just my computer or if other people were having the same problem as well

    I’m glad that Webkinz World itself doesn’t ask for information and personally my Webkinz login isn’t even remotely similar to anything else I have (gotta thank childhood me for that I guess), but for those of you who tend to use the same username and password combo for everything, I strongly suggest changing not only your Webkinz information, but also on those programs. Stay safe!

      I still had to change it even though childhood me had a password I don’t have for anything else but I guess it was time to change it just incase so unfortunately you’ll still have to change it.
