Thank you to Health Care Workers!

Health care workers spend their time taking care of us. When we are under the weather they keep us comfortable and help us get well. Let’s all show health care workers how much we value them by completing a new challenge in Webkinz World between November 6 and 10.

Train with classes at the Academy, bring flowers by playing Tulip Troubles 2, and keep healthy by feeding your pet apples. Log into your Webkinz account and look for the challenge icon on the left side of your screen. If you complete the challenge you’ll win a Green Scrubs Pants and a wCares Ice Cream Sandwich!

Your next challenge starts on November 11.

I’m wondering if it has to be apples from the W-Shop or can we use the ones from our orchards if we have them? Oh, well, they like both so it still a win!

I am so Grateful for all of the essential workers but for me to play some of the games to get the clothing, is hard for me. The community events or buying certain stuff to receive your gifts are ok for me to do. Good luck for all of you able to play them. :)

HELLO!!! Please remember these are called Challenges…Effort is required on your part – we have to work for it to earn it. These are not free gifts (which many people complain about those too). Why blame Webkinz because you don’t want to do the work? Why is it Webkinz’s fault that you have so many accounts and don’t have the time to get the challenges completed on all accounts? I personally think you should pick one or two accounts to be the main challenge accounts and forget trying to do it for all of them. Just like dealing with whiny children and my solution to that is: you don’t need to play if it stresses you out that much. There are so much more serious problems in the world and I am sure the Webkinz/Ganz people are tired of hearing how so many people are constantly telling them what a bad job they are doing by giving you the opportunity to win something for completing challenges that require effort.

Hi Percaroma: A lot of us have been with Webkinz since the beginning so we’ve watched, enjoyed and progressed along with Ganz through their changes. We are not saying to give us the prizes for free, we are complaining that it’s just ‘too much’ to include these challenges with all the other events going on. Please don’t call us whiny children. Businesses need feedback on what is not working. Whats the point of Webkinz, a game, if we have to decide not to play… then why play at all? It takes the fun out of the game, it pushes us away and I doubt thats Ganz intention. We aren’t all game wizards and it’s the inclusion of adding them to everything else on their regular monthly events is too much. And for the serious problems in the world, that is also what we are saying. The world is already stressed, why add stress to a game that is fun? Don’t mistake telling them this is a ‘bad job’ for honest feedback to what is not working for their customers. We don’t mind winning something for some effort but the efforts for these prizes are not worth it.

You are so right!! Thanks, Ganz Team for all the hard work you do to keep Webkinz up and running smoothly, so that we can relax and have a good time. (Wekinz is my happy place in a stress-filled world!) I keep my kids’ old accounts running so now I have my main account and 6 other accounts that I will play on. Sometime, I just let some challenges pass on the kids account and focus on mine. And if time allows, I go do the challenges on the other accounts. p.s. The scrubs are really cool. I am going to work hard so that I will be able to earn them on more than one account!!

I have to agree with everyone. I love the fact that WW is celebrating essential workers but these challenges are ridiculous! To get a pair of pants I have to spend literally hours in all of my accounts playing tulip troubles and then doing more classes at the Academy. Not worth it. Life is busy enough these days, I don;t have the time! I’ll pass on this one!

I applaud the idea to honor all the essential workers in our society who put themselves at risk. However, I believe this might have been better as a Community Challenge – you do your part and everyone benefits. This month we have the deluxe challenge, 4 essential workers challenges, and a WackyEr Zingoz Challenge and we just finished a Lily Padz Challenge – it’s too much! At least, stop making them a timed deadline. Create a chain of challenges like they were several years ago – you have to finish one challenge to make the next one appear but at least you can complete the requirements at a pace that fits your personal time. Deadlines in real life are stressful enough but now we have multiple deadlines in a game that is supposed to be entertaining and relaxing. I know that this is a way that Ganz ensures that we log on daily. FYI – Ganz – there is no way at all that I can play your new 3D version – I have no time to do that. The time I allot myself to play WW is mostly taken up with challenges. I know I don’t have to do the challenges, but the prizes are so tempting.

This is so well said! It is almost overwhelming how much we are given to do. Sure we can pick and choose, but it’s kind of normal for us to want all the cool things they are awarding us. Playing the games are ok, but why have such a high amount of points to have to get? A couple weeks ago was the first time ever I almost couldn’t finish a challenge. I know they want to keep us busy, but this is just waaaayyyy to much! The idea for the chains of challenges is brilliant! Let’s keep Webkinz fun, not stressful!!

    • lemony says:

I agree with you 1000 % . LOVE the idea of a chain of challenges. I can not imagine any child or adult (cause we know most who play are adults) have that much free time to do all these things. It is like a FT job, not PT but FT :(

I miss the regular chained challenges and this line of them would have been a perfect new addition. I don’t understand why WW is making everything some super short timed deadline these days. What is the harm in just adding a new set of normal challenges that people can play when they have time? Please consider how much you have given us to do already that is time limited, adding multiple time limited one after the other and overlapping timed events is very stressful and takes a lot of the fun out of it. I have already been saying for a couple of years now, how there has been too much loaded up on these monthly calendars to where I can’t even really just play in WW, because my time is taken up doing these events and such… the recent non-stop timed challenges has been too much. I really can’t keep up anymore and have been missing out on things because if it. It’s a real shame, I have been playing this game for over 10 years and have always participated in everything but it’s just too much expected of us these days to try and keep up with the timed events. In all honesty, when I saw they made a new webkinz world, my immediate thought was that I hoped maybe they would slow down with some of the overwhelming amount timed events/challenges/etc in the original webkinz world. I for one would very much appreciate some breaks between events and challenges. I have been so busy trying to keep up I haven’t even decorated a room in months.

This. All of this. This entire sub-thread, so. much. this. (and gherkinz and Trinster further down.) I’m also going to pick right here to add a note of appreciation (and fine, a pointed nod at ‘hey, the team listened, maybe do so again, thanks!) because I noted very VERY gratefully that the code shop bans seems to be lifted at last. Multiple times in the past it was mentioned by those of us with learning disabilities are punished by this, and how disheartening and frustrating it can be. At the very end of October I was carving out time I did not really have because of prizes I did not want to miss, and omg, the rush, the stress, the offline stress already in full force — so. many. errors. on my part, so many where after I was told it was wrong I had to stare for entirely too long to find where I messed up, or yeesh, even worse, still managed the same mistake again anyway (and one time, many agains…sigh). Every time the box popped, I had panic that this would be the time I’d get the code ban — and I did not!!! I was so relieved. Well…not until I was done and could believe it did not happen during all the mistakes, but, yes, relief. So THANK YOU, team for hearing us on that, and please, please, take easing up on deadlines for more of the new challenges under serious consideration.

This is really a great idea – honoring essential workers who have already given so much of themselves!!

    cool thanks

Can I refer you to your event calendar for this month and ask what am I missing about the “Health Care Workers” events and the stressful challenge tasks you’ve put with them, to be completed with all the other events? Covid, Elections, Christmas, life is stressful enough without sending us to a real Health Care Worker with these tasks. We were thinking 100 pts on a game task was bad, now it’s 120. Are these just going to get harder? Most of us already need a Health Care Worker. We love Webkinz but this is just a really bad decision. December is always a busy event Calendar, don’t make November one as well.

    • TRINSTER says:

I love Webkinz, but I have to agree with you. The points that need to be earned are way more than the prize is worth to me. It would be different if it was for the whole outfit, but for one piece at a time it’s ridiculously time consuming.
