Thank you to Health Care Workers!

Health care workers spend their time taking care of us. When we are under the weather they keep us comfortable and help us get well. Let’s all show health care workers how much we value them by completing a new challenge in Webkinz World between November 6 and 10.

Train with classes at the Academy, bring flowers by playing Tulip Troubles 2, and keep healthy by feeding your pet apples. Log into your Webkinz account and look for the challenge icon on the left side of your screen. If you complete the challenge you’ll win a Green Scrubs Pants and a wCares Ice Cream Sandwich!

Your next challenge starts on November 11.

Love these challenges—they’re a thoughtful tribute to essential workers and the prizes are very cool. The Nov 11-15 prizes are a Green Scrubs Mask + a Webkinz Cares cookie, but when I logged in, the announcement said it was a Pink Scrubs Top and Pants. I hope we’re getting the mask as it will complete the Green Scrubs Top and Pants that were already awarded.

I hope we will get the masks and stethoscopes as well.

I am also on the side of too much is too much. Let’s support our support workers! Absolutely! They are the stars! For these particular challenges, they should be super easy for everyone. A game or two for 20KC and some non game things like jobs, employment, clean park, etc. Will I do the challenge, yes I will because I feel like if I don’t then I am not supportive of the essential workers. As far as trophy challenges go, absolutely have a bigger KC requirement. I pick and choose which trophies I go for depending on how much I like the game. I am fortunate that I am the only one in my household that plays. I feel for the family with multiple users including children that only have one regular computer. Once homework is done who gets to play the challenge? The smartest one? The fastest one? The youngest one? Bet they wish they could all have the outfit especially if any of their parents are essential workers. Please reconsider on the remaining essential worker challenges and make them attainable for all. Thank you for offering these wonderful outfits that we can have on our account and further down the road we can look at them and remember that we survived this virus. Thank you Ganz.

Wonderful suggestion, tandhgrandmanews! This challenge should especially be easier for all to play. I love your suggestion of 20KC and doing some non game things. We should be having fun! Playing fun games with easy goals for all of us! Not all of us are good at the fast paced games. I love the outfits and really wanted to get at least one of each. It’s sad that they’ve made it so difficult to win.

I definitely agree. I’m a busy Grandma and this is a lot to accomplish for so many outfit pieces. I just got the pants on my grandson’s account because I always do his first. When I got to mine, I didn’t finish the Tulip Trouble Game in time. I’m very disappointed I won’t have the pants on my account. I, too appreciate the essential workers, but these challenges should be a little easier to finish all of them!

As a health care worker, working WAY more hours and shifts than I am scheduled, I love coming home and playing the games. It doesn’t matter if I am terrible at them (like tulip Troubles) I just keep playing again until I reach the goal. It is a lovely distraction from my day, or night.

One good idea has come from all of this discussion. Perhaps we can do this again with Community Challenges. As for me, I have often just focused on my own 2 main accounts and then on the others that I inherited from older grandchildren and the ones I help a friend and my younger grandsons with. It’s about choices and finding your own balance. It’s not the end of the world if you miss one trophy or another or a prize here and there. Often times trophy challenges are repeated and there will be more prizes down the road. Break up the challenges into more manageable sections. I’ve found that I can do this particular one in about a half an hour. Play Tulip Troubles, go to academy with one pet, switch pet play the game, go to academy….rinse and repeat. Switching up what you are doing seems to help me. See if it will help you too. If not, try something else. Like play the challenge game then play a game you like to break things up.

Thank you, HoneyBear877, gizmo20111234, and dippyear. I’m letting this second challenge go, too. Maybe I’ll be able to win the next scrub top, if the games are a little easier. I’ll be glad when Ganz/Webkinz starts making the challenges fun, and not so hard and stressful. It’s sad that they don’t seem to listen.

    • GrandmaSassieDeluxe says:

Thank you! I wish they would listen, too! We have lives and are very busy. I got the scrub pants on my grandson’s account and missed them on mine. I agree, this should be fun instead of stressful. We have enough stress in our lives these days!

If you have a touch screen try using your fingers to get the tulips . its much easier than clicking the mouse… It is a hard quest but it can be done….

    • bear10201 says:

Oh gosh, duh me I have a touch screen at home I will try that next time. Thank you, I dont play it except for challenges and never thought to try touch screen.

I have been a member for 13 years. Only became Deluxe little more than a year ago. I didn’t constantly complain about all the Deluxe items I couldn’t get. Seeing the same complaints over and over again is stressing to me. There is no way to make everyone happy…and I understand it can be frustrating. However, seeing the same complaints over and over again must be exhausting for the programmers/designers. How would you feel if every day you went to work you had to hear the same negative remarks from your boss every single day. There are ways to give feedback without complaining extensively about how this and that is too hard/time-consuming. You chose to have multiple accounts – if it is too much, fine say so. But you chose to maintain multiple accounts – Ganz/Webkinz didn’t force you. It is not their fault you don’t have time to finish a ‘hard’ challenge. I personally don’t like Tulip Troubles because it stresses me and I don’t get a lot of points for each game. But, I am choosing to take on the stress because I want the prize. Speaking of, this month’s Deluxe Challenge is also one that stresses me beyond…I am lucky to get 5-10 points per game and I need 200 for the Challenge. Now, my personal feelings are not feedback – they are complaints. It is not Webkinz/Ganz fault that I have issues. So, why should I complain to them when it’s my problem, not theirs? It would be wonderful if for just a week we appreciated Ganz/Webkinz without making it personal/negative.

I think you’re missing the bigger point here. I think it’s that when there are so many back to back challenges with a time limit and high amount of points to get, it can become overwhelming. Most people only have so much play time on the computer each day. Some games take a long time to get a small amount of points. When many spend all their time doing challenges, there is no time left to actually enjoy the other things the game has to offer… decorating, playing games they enjoy, hanging out in the park collecting trash, enjoying the clubhouse rooms, just as examples. Sure we can pick and choose what we want to do as far as challenges go, but when there are so many cool things offered, how can we resist? It’s a lot of time for one account, not necessarily multiples. I don’t think anyone was being mean, just frustrated. How will anyone know unless people speak up? They just want it to slow down a bit and stay fun :)

Tulip Troubles 2 Tips! First, try muting the sound as you are playing. It is less distracting. Second, don’t waste time trying to get the good fairies when they are split on the screen. They are too far apart, unless you have great reflexes! Third, train yourself to look for the onion shape. Last, divide the total that you need by the days you have to play it, on any challenge. Try small increments and don’t make yourself finish it all at once. Manage your time and you will finish!

I’m totally on board with the division of points over days. I’m doing that with the deluxe challenge as I love the game but I’m not all that good at it, getting better but not that good. My main issue with some of the games is that some of them can be physically challenging for me. I have to be careful to divide my time playing them so that I don’t end up wearing a wrist brace to work because I’ve had so much fun with a particularly ‘clicky’ or arrowed game! (Worth it!!) It’s interesting to me that you would mention muting the sound though. Does that help you? I actually find myself ‘chair dancing’ to the tune between levels as a ‘cooldown’! Sound does affect people differently though and if it helps then go for it!

I understand that we must “work” for a prize, but to have 5 days to earn 120KC, on a game that is so difficult, is just ridiculous. I do pretty good until level 7, I think. Then…the fairies in the tulips light up so fast there is no way I can click on them. I think I ended up with 20KC. With 5 accounts…and YES!….I want to play this challenge on ALL my accounts, it’s going to be impossible. I thought about skipping this part of the challenge but I don’t have enough ePoints and would have to buy some. So, if I have 5 accounts, and want to buy 10,000 epoints from the Ganz EStore for $9.99, how much will that cost me? $9.00 x 5 = $49.95. Almost $50.00 just to skip a game! Plus, if you wanted to “skip” the entire game, it would cost you $29.99 for each challenge you play. If I did that for all 5 of my accounts, that would be $29.99 x 5 = $149.95. PLEASE tell me how VIRTUAL items can cost so much? I love that Ganz is honoring our Health Care Workers. I love that Ganz is really trying hard to make things fun for us. I love the beautiful virtual things their creative team make for us. But….WHY can’t these games be FUN? EASIER? STRESS FREE? And, WHY can’t we have the whole month of November to work on these challenges? Like another player said, why can’t these Heath Care Challenges be like the challenges that stay on our Webkinz Page until we have completed them? I know I can EVENTUALLY earn the 120KC for the Tulip Game. I just can’t do it in 5 days. I’ve already said this on another post in Webkinz Newz, but I will repeat it. We are spending so much time playing these challenges, which are all mostly fun and have wonderful prizes, but we, or at least some of us, are having a hard time to finding time to play on Webkinz for the pure joy of the game. All I do is get on Webkinz, do all the “Daily Games”, go to the Club House, go to the Kinzville Park if I need to, visit the Magic Forest, play all the Deluxe things that I am paying extra for, try and do all the “Fill Your Pet’s Heart” stuff (which is so annoying and often cost me KinzCash I don’t want to spend), and I’m left with little to no time to just SIT and RELAX and PLAY on Webkinz. I DO have a life and a family to take care of. I can’t spend hours a day working on so many hard to win challenges. I’m also very sad that some players are calling us “whiny children”. They must have very fast computers, or be very good at playing these kinds of games. I envy them. I wish I was, but I’m not. I just try and do the best I can. I really want to play and win these awesome prizes, but I just can’t take the stress right now. The first challenge was perfect! Fun! Easy! Awesome blue scrub shirt. Loved it! Guess I can do without the blue scrub bottoms. :-(

    • alucard says:

I’m sorry…I mean the green scrub bottoms. :-)

    • Honeybear877 says:

I totally agree! This game is AWFUL and rewards so little kinzcash. I also have 5 accounts and I’d love to get the scrubs, but it just isn’t going to happen in this timeframe. There are several games that I really either don’t like or am just really bad at and this one ticks both boxes. I like your idea of leaving the challenge until we can finish it. It’s just not anywhere near enough time. And as you said, it’s not “fun” at all, it’s tedious and annoying and there is no way I’m paying that much cash for pixels. I feel a little guilty for even complaining, but come on! Webkinz has been my happy place through this pandemic, and honoring front line workers is brilliant. I’d love to have these lovely items but if I get even one pair of scrub pants it will be a miracle. It JUST SHOULDN’T BE THIS HARD.

      I completely agree.
