Today’s Throwback Thursday is a look back at our very first rare theme: the Egyptian Theme!
Normally, items in a rare theme can only be found in the Curio Shop, which means there’s a chance each day that one of these items might appear there, but for one hour only!
When the Curio Shop opened in 2006, the Egyptian Theme was the one and only rare theme in all of Webkinz World. However, not all items in this theme made the cut: there was a toybox that looked like an Egyptian sarcophagus which was deemed to be inappropriate for our audience at that time, and was never released.
Since then, there have been some additions to the Egyptian theme that are a little easier for the Webkinz Archaeologist to dig up! If you keep an eye on the Ganz eStore or the new WShop, you might just see a Kitti of the Nile, the Egyptian Room Divider, a Golden Hippo Toybox, or the frighteningly-funny Mummy’s Awake!
There was also an Egyptian Mummy Mask that was available in the KinzStyle Outlet only for Halloween back in 2012!

I love the bed the best. I have most of the theme but not the dresser and stool. I have not seen those at the Curio Shop. I look for rare items every day.

I love the Egyptian theme. I love all the additions but if I could only choose one I think I would choose the Mummy’s Awake.

Egyptian is my fav rare item theme, Aztec is 2nd
